So far it hasn't been to bad my way. I've only had to shovel snow a couple of times this winter. Hopefully it stays like that for the remainder of the winter, but I doubt it.

Actually, I love snow blowing, kind of peaceful. Out of the 20 houses on the street, me and 2 others are the only one that don't have snow removal contracts.

That`s not to bad. Over here it can get to -30C (-22F) or less overnight, sometimes for weeks .

Yeah, I agree. It`s peaceful and it`s good exercise.
I don`t mind shoveling or snow blowing if it`s not to cold out. I even clean some neighbors driveways that don`t have a snow blower.

You're right that that's not too cold but that's as cold as I want it to get out here.

You'll here me complaining when summer comes and we hit those 100F+ temps.

Right now I'm in heaven, temp-wise.

Tonight for my walk it's supposed to be about 50F, so moving in the right direction.

Next week should be in the mid 50s for my night time walk. Still jacket weather.

We're in southwestern Ohio at 39.15° N. So, winter is coming.

I walk for exercise, and while it was only 34°F out this afternoon, there was a brisk wind blowing. Because we want to deny what's coming, we tell ourselves that this is 'cold'.

It's not. Here, 15°F with a stiff breeze is what generally passes for really cold. When it gets ugly, however, which is rare, the temp drops down to 5°F to -5°F, and then it's a good idea to skip the daily 45-minute walk.

The record low here is -18°F, set on Christmas Day 1983. I was living on the West Coast at that time and had come in for a family get together. It was crazy. Normally, we'd be playing touch football in the front yard. That year, we stayed inside for the holiday.

We supposedly have a major snow storm coming this week around Thursday. Single digit temps and 30MPH winds mean I won't be out trying to shovel it in stages. With that cold, though, it should be light stuff. My new snow thrower will be put to the test.

Yesterday, the forecast here was for 18+ inches of snow on Thursday-Friday and a cold snap. Today, the forecast for those days is calling for the storm to track a hundred miles further inland and only drop rain here and along much of the east coastal areas. Murphy's Law and the busy travel weekend for the holidays says that the track will move east again tomorrow. Either way, it's a good time to get out of Dodge early if you have any holiday travel plans.....

My travel plans will be moving back and forth between the living room, the garage, the kitchen, and the bedroom. Tomorrow I'll go grab whatever we need to get through the week and then I'll be staying put.

I spent 5 years in Chicago and don’t miss that one bit. Now that I’m in Phoenix I need a jacket if it’s under 60. I’m happy sitting outside to eat when it’s 105 as long as I’m not in the sun.

Been in SoCal my whole life. Could never handle living in cold weather with ice and snow. Have visited the colder climates and that’s all I need to know it’s not for me. At the same time do not like the sometimes 100+ degrees summers we get here.

Very happy in the fall and winter, even spring. Don’t mind the 80s and 90s, but after that it becomes too hot for my taste. Thank God for air-conditioning. Even though our summers are getting hotter, would rather take that than icy cold winters.

PS - 60s and 70s range is my favorite temperature.
