Oh well....
I would agree previous to the new gen. I really like the new one and could definitely see a 350GT sitting in my driveway with that glorious 5.2 flat plane

If the "back seat" is enough for you the upcoming TTRS is supposed to be quite the car.

If you need something now-ish and are willing to go downmarket, the upcoming M240 should merit a test drive as well. M2 will take forever to get unless you are willing to pay a market adjustment. Back seat much better than the TTS, but TTS maybe better if you want to fold seats and haul some stuff around with the hatchback.

Just saw the C300 coupe in midnight blue with the saddle interior. You'd def need to wait for the 43 version, but the car was gorgeous. Much better than I thought it would be. Interior is top notch (assuming it's your taste). Drove the S63 coupe as well. That is something special, but roughly 2x your budget and honestly a bit of overkill IMO.

I test drove the TT and TTS before buying the M235. The TT has noticeable turbo lag. The TTS was far superior to the TT, but the price reflects it. Both cars look great, but somehow felt very cramped inside. The back seat is not built for humans. The seats reminded me of 911 seats. Nice for a bag of groceries, but that is it.
If I needed four doors and power, I would seriously look at an M5 or the 550. Good luck. |

RS5 is the most suitable car but it's hard to beat torque shove of a turbo with NA.
TTS is nice too, but I wouldn't consider it having backseats. So that leaves you with M240i. |

If you want a torquey N/A v8 4 seat coupe, that's only 1-2 years old or new, your options are limited. Sounds like American muscle/pony cars are out. So that really only leaves the 2014 c63 coupe (mentioned above) and the RC-F. I would still check out some of the other cars mentioned, maybe after a drive or 2 you might change up your requirements. And as someone else mentioned, don't let the girlfriend have too much influence on your decisions. That will create quite the slippery slope moving forward. Ask me how I know.........

Not sure what having a serious GF has to do with what type of car one drives...
She needs to accept you as you are...

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
