A guy at my job has a F30 328xi with.. Wait for it... 27 M badges on the exterior! Everything from badges to decals to M performance parts. With the money he spent on them, he probably cudda gotten a 335.

For the life of me I wouldn't know a fake versus real AMG. I imagine the thought is that most people are that way about the M badges.

Id imagine A majority of the people don't either just by looking at it BUT if you were the guy buying the C300 instead of the C63 you'd know it wasn't an AMG so putting tacky AMG badges on it to pose as one would be on you

I have to say on this topic that I deeply understand someone struggeling with it's life and at least trying with debadging to call and scream for a life that he or her like's to see them in few year's.
Ironically many of you laughing about these people should understand that most of them just try to live their dream's within their means. Some of them aren't that fortunate to go to college and even come close to an ordinary BMW. Imagine...how would you feel beeing in the situation, seeing all these youngster's obviously coming from a rich household, driving high powered car's and you? You struggle every day getting your stuff payed...anyway's I'd just like to let people understand that there's alway's another side of the coin. I think for some of you educated, ...we need to understand what's actually going on in these people's mind's. Once we got that, we will realise how sad and pittyful such an person is. Remember only you've / I've been told from our parent's how to rock life the right way doesn't mean other's had been so fortunate. With this said, if someone debadges his car to find peace and forfillment in his life ...jesus christ...then be it! Instead of laughing at them just try to see it from another/ their point of view. Man we learned to find solution's, no matter what occur's, then just freaking use this formula also to think a little more then just two step's in front of you! Ignorance isn't the key here, definately not...definately not... |

There's an "///M" 335i convertible in my work parking lot, I gotta snap a pic next time I see it. We've crossed paths and he's seen me in my M3, I think he cringes a bit.
As far as seeing the other side of the coin, I've been on the other side of the coin- seeing everyone with their nice cars and not even having a car of my own. When I finally did get a car at 21, I had no desire to fool others about what it was. I'm not a big fan of the "fake it til you make it" motto. Be proud of what you have and work your ass off to get what you want. I'd rather be honest instead of trying to make my car into something that it's not. I'm also wasting money that could be saved for that future car. To each his own I guess, but for me, it just seems like a waste of time and money. |

And when you never had been taught the right way to handle with money, you end up spending for B.S. debadging and rebuilding your car. No one ever told you to save up, you only live day to day and think that's the way to live your life. Seeing a debadged car tell's alot about the owner but not everything. |

This is supposed to be a lol thread, not a boo freakin hoo thread.
Also to debadge is to remove all badges. Why spend the extra money to add a badge If were trying to right these wrongs in the world. |
