Did I just read that the Lakers are looking at Kevin Ollie and Calipari?! Don't get me wrong, they are great for college. This is the NBA and Ollie might be able to get the respect of veterans, but Calipari can't do it. Can you see either of them earning the respect of a hungry, determined Kobe? Will they PLEASE hire Jeff Van Gundy!!! He doesn't play favorites and unlike most of the coaches in the league, he's both an X's and O's guy and a motivator.
Quick summary of Lake Show's next two seasons: Summer before 2014-15 season: We still stink. Let's just put that out there upfront. We might sign some good mid-level guard like Lowry, Eric Bledsoe (Restricted) or Chalmers. Then we go after someone like Rudy Gay (only at a reduced price) or maybe Gordon Hayward (Restricted) at the SG/SF spot to play off Kobe. Keep Jordan Hill and try to pick up Hawes at center. Also, picking up a quality SF/PF in the draft that can rebound (Randle, Gordon or Exum) will help. Every vet listed here is in the final year of their current deal but could choose to stay with their current team. I also think we should keep Wesley Johnson, Swaggy P and maybe Gasol but only if he takes less money. If any of these signings happen and we get JVG as coach, we might squeak out the 8th seed in the West for the 2014-15 season. Summer of 2015: Since we didn't spend all of the money in the summer of 2014, we go after Kevin Love, Lebron, Kyrie Irving, Asik, Marc Gasol (but only if we still have Pau), Alridge, and maybe Rubio just so we can have almost the entire Spanish Olympic starting five...and then it's on for 2015-16! I'm not saying we would be able to sign all of these people, but 2-3 isn't unreasonable. Note: please wait 5 mins before $h!tt!ing on my pipe dreams. Thanks in advance.

I agree it does start from the top...though i am not 100% sold on Mich Kupchak's choices as of late...so we'll see what they decide and go from there...but there's potential for greatness in the future.

funny how the 3 games tonight are all elimination games and 2 out of those the lower seed is winning the series.
hope indy is ousted, okc forces a game 7 to loose in that game and i really don't care for the clippers/warriors series. |

Without a doubt. When they were down with about 3 minutes left I thought they were golf course bound. And then they totally redeemed themselves.

hell of a game, crawford scared me when he started making those 3s in the 4th quarter. Lets hope game 7 is equally as exciting as tonight.

this is the closest thing to the real Lin that we've seen since last year... but I will give him this - he came through when we needed him most... we may need him to step up yet again tonight... I still got Rockets in 7 - Clutch City !!!!! |

on another note, it's incredible that none of the teams that played yesterday were able to close out the series |

If anything, that guy for the Hawks should get a suspension for throwing a womanly punch.
