I paced myself and only watched the first 4 episodes.

I'll eventually watch it but it's getting long in the tooth. At first this series was a fun novelty and throwback of the original but it's losing steam for sure. How much more can they do of Cobra Kai vs. Miyagi-do Karate vs. (insert random new dojo).

I absolutely agree. I expected so more from the latest season; however, I found myself getting bored, even dozing off several times. This show, in my opinion, has now “jumped the shark” but yet there is another Season coming! To final your point, the plot that seems to have taken so many bites of the apple, its swallowed the core.

I think you can do both, no? Breaking Bad is one of the best television series I've ever seen. The character arcs for both Walter White and Jessie Pinkman are unbelievable. Hats off to Vince Gilligan, Mark Johnson and all the folks who brought this series to the masses. Like everything else YMMV...

I don't watch that much TV. I'm going to do Breaking Bad.

As for Breaking Bad: my wife and I are re-watching the series. We're just finished S5-E14 Ozymandias. That has to be one of the best TV episodes of all time.

We both said how we couldn't imagine having to watch this one episode a week back in the day. There are so many episodes ending in a cliffhanger that I couldn't wait to start the next episode to see what happens. This show is an easy binge watchable show.

For anyone that hasn't seen it, you definitely need to give it more than just 3-4 episodes. You'll be glad you did.

And you don't have to be into drugs or other unlawful activities to enjoy the show. It's superb writing, acting, etc. I haven't found another show I like as much as BB.

We rewatch stuff we havent seen in a long time between new stuff or when we just want to crap on the TV but don’t plan to be paying that much attention.

Rewatching Fringe right now also rewatched Falling Skies two of my favorite shows. It’s been long enough that I barely remember stuff so a lot feels new.

Also just finished The Silent Sea. Whats up with all the Korean shows on Netflix? Are they outsourcing all their shows now? I watch the dubbed version because no way in hell I’m reading subtitles for hours. I actually think they do a pretty good job dubbing this stuff these days. Dark had some of the best dubbing ever!

Anyways I think it was decent, not great, but my kind of genre. I think the production quality/editing was not good. They would cut shit weird that made it confusing and odd plot line hole.

Not outsourcing, a bunch of Netflix shows are developed for certain countries and are on the platform and marketed for their home countries, it just so happens that Korean Pop-Culture from music to TV and movies is starting to become big in America lately. For example, Squid Game was not intended to be marketed for the American market or a big hit outside of Korea, but it had become viral and then became Netflix's biggest show, which Netflix did not intend.

I typically have captions on no matter and can't do the dubbed voiceovers as it takes me out of the acting and experience of the show. I can't imagine how different Parasite would be dubbed over, that was probably one of my favorite movies of the last few years.

I'm not into manga or cartoons at all but fondly remember Star Blazers from my childhood. Can't believe it has good quality writing and cool technical details, esp for a show in the 70s made for kids. I never saw the whole thing so I'm enjoying that right now.

No, quite the opposite: it looks like a reg battleship but has a gaping hole in the front for the wave motion gun.

For me season 4 was heading in that direction. The same thing over again, rinse and repeat. But I dunno..... a bit of a twist at the end of the season actually has me looking forward to season 5 now in the hopes that it'll take a different approach going forward rather than the same old lead up to the tournament.

That’s what my wife thinks too. I’ll probably still watch, but am not really excited about a Season 5.

Just watched “The Tender Bar” this morning which is available on Amazon Prime. Decent film directed by George Clooney with Ben Affleck. Recommended.

Thanks! Got served an ad last night for this movie and was intrigued. I'll have to check it.

No idea what it is called but the mrs turned on the new show with ELaine from seinfeld, some political piss take.

It is absolutely impossibly bad, just terrible. Unwatchable.
