I guess the snow is missing us here in Chicago. Went from a Winter storm warning to only an inch of snow. I'll take that

See how easy that was?? OK, it's a compressed work day off already, but I'm still not coming.

Soccer opening night tomorrow got canceled, fields are un-playable due to recent rains. We still have snow on local mountains, but its melting fast.

55 right now.

Waiting for the mountain roads to open so i can go snowboard. Nah the snow will be good for a while. I hope the "pumpkin" reference is indeed a pumpkin.

Just getting started with the 8" snowfall. Just heard some thunder to make things interesting.

They're calling for 2-3 inches per hour, I can't see across the street.

The snow squalls blew through and then it cleared out. We went from nasty, blowing snow to sunshine in about 30 minutes. Still windy as hell, though.

Got a solid 6-7" of hard packed snow overnight but it's melting fast.

Of course the city skipped my crescent and left berm up to my waist at both ends so we're trapped for the foreseeable future.

Snowblowed the sidewalks and a couple elderly people's driveways at least.

Nice walk. 7 miles in that sand is like 15 on hard ground.

(Thanks M6, we walk that beach once a month for a survey, circumstances such one way wasn't possible).
Today, occasional driving hail, in places drifted up along the wrack line, and chased by extreme high tide, not a user friendly beach today

Blizzard... Forecast calls for snow for the next four days. At least we're out of the deep freeze, if it's any consolation.
