Does anyone know of a reliable way to locate their vehicle? BMW Connect can locate it, but won't tell you the location when it's more than .62 miles away. BMW Assist apparently won't unless it's been stolen and you file a police report.

Asking purely hypothetically, of course.

I had it - reinstalled it, but same issue with the .62 miles limit. Hmmmph. It's my frickin car - how is that a legal issue?

This is a few weeks off, but iOS 10 automatically marks your vehicle location on maps when you park it. Seems to have no distance limit.

I really don't have a have a use for them. They were $13 on eBay, I was bored/sleep deprived, ordered them for shits and giggles.

They run of a cigarette lighter plug, so it's not like they are hard to remove. Might make for some interesting photos.

But yea, it was just a random purchase.
