That being said, I'm not going to risk taking it and then have to turn back around and walk home to drop off my camera and then miss the 1st quarter. I'm thinking about maybe risk taking my 1D X with the 135mm. It's 2" shorter than even 70-200mm f/4, and it's black. The only issue being, is it really worth it if I shoot at 135mm?

I would also love to argue that if a lens is available to the general public, then it is a consumer product and should not be disallowed. or, Plastidip your 100-400 so it is no longer white, and the plastidip also peels off fairly well when finished |

also, if it is your only option, then perhaps it is work making due with it. and pick up a 1.4 or a 2.0 TC then you will have 135mm and more to use |

haha Reed... pastidip. I don't have access to it right now, nor the time to do it.
Sadly the TC is also white, so my luck it'll confuse them. Plus my local store is out of those on rentals. Oh well. I'll be more prepared for another game. We are just playing the Bears tonight, after all.

I need this in black, to maybe get through security.
I also think walking in with a lens that can potentially extend to to nearly 11" in length, even if it's black, will be prohibited.

A 135mm won't be too great for action on the field, but you might get some interesting crowd shots.

That's probably true. But, I will be sitting less than 20' from a receiver if they are out wide at the 20 yard line.

Alright, I'm all geared up... 1D X, 135mm, and blackrapid. Hopefully they let me through. Hopefully I'll at least get to play with f/2 at night, and heckle Jay Cutler.

Welcome back, Reed.
The Kenko Pro 300 2x TC works quite well with the 135L. It's black, too. You get 270mm at F4.

Just got back from the game, and it was a lot of fun! Although the Brownies lost (no surprise there), I think I got a lot of cool photos from where I was sitting. I'll try to make some time tomorrow to crop and edit them appropriately. At least from the LCD screen, I feel like most were sharp regardless of how much I zoomed in. But, we'll see how they turned out in LR4.
I shot pretty much in Av mode. But, looking at the info on most of these pics, I could've easily shot it manual using f/2, 1/500s, and ISO 400 all night long, with only slight over-exposure. I love the bokeh on the 135mm f/2L. After seeing the shady security at the entrance, I'm sure I could've easily brought my 70-200mm f/4L IS instead. I think the 100-400mm would've been overboard though. Most of the media were Canon shooters (6+ photogs). I couldn't tell if they were using the 500 f/4L or the 600mm f/4L though. I did see 2 lonely Nikon shooters as well. Anyways, I'll share the photos with you guys later this weekend. Time to prep for the air show on Monday.

How long does it take for a site to show up in google searches after submitting a sitemap and doing other SEO stuff? Did mine two days ago and not showing up yet.
Website progress coming along nicely too
