My GTS is a 2015. Hard to say which one is more fun as I tracked the Cayman a couple of times but haven't yet been on the track with the 911. The Cayman was great fun as is the 911 and I never had an epiphany that one was clearly more fun than the other but that could tip one way or the other once I have a chance to track the 911. But having tracked my cars for the past number of years, I am always envious and humbled by how I could never seem to match the prowess of most 911s I've come across, especially watching them pull away with their corner exit traction and speed. This drew me further and further into wanting one.
Personally, the looks of the 911 put me over the edge in its favor which is I know is subjective and takes nothing away from the Cayman. But the rear of the 911 is one of the most beautiful things in motorsports to me. I was also considering a GT4 but at the prices I was coming across used, I just preferred to put it towards the GTS instead. |

only cars I can think of I would consider for 100K cdn,
1. Cayman 981 GTS - but then I would rather go for used 991s for this money and you would need a second car I think. 2. 911 991s - used 3. R8 - used, probably very similar to super car feel for the less money If you ask me, I would probably go #2 and never look back. 911 is just something I can't let it go. If most powerful word is a M, the most powerful three digit numbers are 911. I know what my build will be when I am getting one myself. |

Next move from 2016 Cayman S
So I've posted before about this
But alas my parameters have changed. I have decided that I am finally "maturing" (aka aging!) and getting too lazy for the work of manual...paddles also somehow seem more relaxing...and like I said I am maturing... So here's what I like in a car: NON_TURBO, I am open to superchargers, (I recently drove an M4 and it reminded how much I dislike turbo lag) LOW END TORQUE CRISP THROTTLE RESPONSE COMPACT SIZE GOOD VISIBILITY The car will be a pleasure car only for me, no commuting, but it will be my only car so I need some practicality my upper price limit is maybe 110k cdn, I want the car be in warranty so I am looking at models from 2013 and up here's what I have in mind: 2015 and down AMG C63 COUPE SLK55 F Type Coupe R AWD Vantage v8 I have only driven the vantage and need to drive it again... Would appreciate thoughts and experiences with these cars...or is there a car that meets my criteria that I have missed? |

Chevy SS (are they sold in Canada?). v8 with low end torque, 4 doors with a trunk for practicality, can get it in an auto box (don't remember if paddles were ever an option).
Or get yourself a z51 corvette if you prefer a coupe. even CPO are pretty cheap. |

Only one way to go from a Cayman S, I went from a '12 Cayman S to a '13 Carrera S in October, CPO, loaded. Plenty of power, great sound. Found one with $40k in options.

The only car on your list with good visibility is the C63. The rest are like looking out of bathtubs. If you like your Cayman but want something more relaxing with good visibility why don't you get a 911 with PDK?
