Yes, unless Lewis came to a complete stop he was forced off the track. Max lunged from WAY back and Lewis had ZERO room to turn into the corner and it looked like they touched. Had Lewis not taken evasive action before the apex, Max would've slammed right into him. Max set the standard for that in Brazil.

That's a fair argument. Will have to re-watch that sequence after the race.

Had Lewis turned in max would of been on top of the car.

I don't think I agree with the the ruling but this is the result of not punishing Brazil.

Look at it this way. Had max hit ham, he would argue lap one cold tires and cold brakes. And probably get away with it.

First lap shenanigans are always a problem.

You can also look at how HAM took that runoff area.
He maximized his straigthline, not doing anything to get back at the track asap so maximizing his profit.

But at the moment HAM is faster on the yellows than Max on the reds.

In hindsight, even if MAX managed to get in front of HAM at the start... Max's tires would've held up enough to keep HAM behind him.
