Why do people think San Antonio will have a hard time with Portland??? Houston was terrible and they took them to 7, I think the Spurs take them out in 5 at the most...

Because the Spurs are 2-2 against the Blazers in the regular season and both of of their wins came when LaMarcus Aldridge was injured (first win he didn't play at all, second win he was out early in the 2nd quarter). Aldridge is healthy now and playing great. Because Houston beat the Spurs 4-0 in their meetings during the regular season and Portland beat Houston. Because Aldridge/Lopez match up more favorably against Duncan/Splitter than they did against Asik/Howard. Especially with how well Aldridge is playing and Lopez is stepping up his game. Because Parker isn't as much of a handful as Harden was. All the evidence points to the Blazers matching up well with the Spurs. Spurs have a deeper bench but the Blazers have a more athletic and potent (though maybe not as consistent) starting 5. The Spurs have consistency and experience on their side. But the Blazers are hungry for recognition and playing with a lot of energy. I don't know if the aging Spurs can keep pace. Blazers starting 5 averaged the most minutes of anyone in the NBA and the Spurs starting 5 averaged the least. Controlling the pace of the games is going to be the key to the series. I'll say Portland has a chance in 6 but if it goes to 7 I think the Spurs will take the win. Last edited by pukicabuki; 05-05-2014 at 05:56 PM.. |

Clips in 7?, so they will beat OKC on the road in Game 7? No way...OKC fans get crazy loud, its one of the loudest arenas i think, i'm pretty sure that's going to mentally get to young DeAndre...
Best chance Clips have is to finish it in 6 on their home court, and to prevent too much thunder momentum they should try to split the first two games in OKC to steal home court advantage, then defend their home court and take it in 6. I am expecting quite a few techs in this series. Perkins is a hot head, doesn't take much to rile him up. |

Roy is still MIA. It's going 7 but the cream will rise to the top.

I'm from Brooklyn, However, sadly I'm a Knicks fan. I hope Brooklyn wins the series but I don't think they will. I don't know anyone here in NYC that is truly a Miami Heat fan. There is a lot of fairweather fans though. I have someone at work that went out and bought a Brooklyn Nets jacket when they moved from New Jersey to Brooklyn, yet calls himself a Miami Heat fan. I wonder what jacket he is going to wear now? For those true Miami Heat fans, good luck.

What's more maddening is how Frank refuses to bench his ass in lieu of Butler or Copeland. We need smaller guys out there that can space the floor and shoot the 3.

Cp3 was rippin it up!!! I hope there isn't any Mr Unreliable articles in the paper before game 2, for the Clippers sake. ( but I do hope for a good series) I hope the Wizards win the series vs the Pacers..I got to support my fellow countryman The Polish Hammer!!

i don't think is happening this time around, they barely escaped the hawks, the wizards will top them in 6 games or 7 at the most.
i cannot wait for miami vs brooklyn tonight i want to see where the heat is after over a week of rest and versus the nets, its going to be a good game. |

I mean they set records for threes attempted and threes made. It's not like they were the Bad News Bears. Both the Hawks and the Wizards were two of the hottest teams coming into the playoffs. The Heat, Pacers, and Bobcats all backpedaled into the playoffs.

how can you not give credit to a #8 seed that takes the #1 seed to the brink of elimination??????
had the hawks played just a tad better on game 6 your mighty pacers would be golfing or fishing right now, so yes mad props to the hawks and to the wizards for eliminating the pacers |
