Only thing to do aside from the Helicoil is to change the whole axle carrier assy, where the calipper carrier is a fixed part of the whole thing. That isnt an option and to answer your question to the bolts, yes and no: Those are guided ones which are sitting into a reamed tunnel to the calippers. Spoken from the material used for the bolts, I would guess they are onto level 8.8, normal steel and not the expected high grad stuff used at Brembos or Lockheeds. Hence the thread flanks were weak as seen, this cant be real special ones. I'd tried to restore them with a special thread file but this has had no significant success.
