Good luck. You can find some high end stuff around, but "blasting" and "stock up" ammo is still flying off the shelves. Put in a backorder and wait in line as some comes and goes and never shows as "in stock".
I'm in the industry and our 223 brass is sold out past Sept already and we are turning away business left and right. It started out all 9mm and a little 223 and now the 223 is the big mover. Also - check your chamber. If you are shooting a AR and it has a "223 Wylde" chamber (stamped on the barrel near the receiver) - that means you can shoot 223 Rem OR 5.56 Nato in it safely. A lot of AR makers are moving to that chamber for this reason and sometimes the 5.56 ammo will hide on the shelf from the uneducated new shooters. If it is not stamped 223 Wylde or 5.56 Nato - do NOT shoot 5.56 Nato in it though. I'd say 223 will be tough to find for the remainder of the year with crap like this going on. Good luck!

Try Targetsportsusa.com. They still had some 223 when I was ordering a few things a couple of days ago.

I use luckygunner.com
Edit: wow just looked and the pickings are slim! Expensive too with 9mm ball ammunition at stupid prices. Feeling like I made a good move in keeping my ammo well stocked at all times.

I usually use gunbot.net to find ammo. I haven't bought any this year, I stocked up last year. Coworkers and friends have been hitting me up for ammo lately.

I think I'm going to make a trip to the local PD to get a couple of pistol purchasing permits. Thinking of picking up a Sig Sauer P365.

Great gun - I just got the SAS version earlier this year and I have to say it is the best carry gun I have ever owned. My eyes are not what they use to be, but that built in sight is spot on perfect and I can pick it up even with no glasses at all. Ported barrel seems to work and flip is nothing. Slippery smooth and nothing pokes me (I appendix carry) which is rare. Slightly larger than a LCP, but holds 10+1 of 9mm instead of 6+1 of 380. IWB I can barely tell the difference in size. I put 100 or so though it last weekend. Not a single bobble and actually nice to shoot - much better than a micro 380 etc. I can get all 4 fingers on it but that is it which is perfect. Need a tool to strip it due to the antisnag - but you could use any screwdriver, quarter, or brass head in a pinch. I am 100% happy with it.
