Well, I guess we didn't need to wait til the offseason...it's already tumultuous in Lakersland now...trade scenarios, guys...what say you?
I'd go for anything that'd involve D Howard..seems to me he's the only guy that's highly motivated and hungry enough for a title...he was close. What the Lakers need is motivation, hunger, not necessarily talents...

Well, the question is if the motivation/hunger will come around in April/May/June. If you look at the previous 3 peat team, the record was about the same. Some people are more patient and then you have the doomsayers.

I think mitch is just ligthing a fire under the players asses. It was clearly obvious during the boston game pau was frighten to death to go inside after he did the elbow drop on KG lol...only kobe stands up to the green.

He's still a rookie, cause he didn't play last year. So his rookie of the year award just got delayed 1 year.

Yes I see the consistency in terms of the Lakers. But this year is different because Boston and Spurs are essentially in the last window of opportunity..do or die as far they're concerned. The Lakers can pretend to turn on the switch come April/May but the other teams are going to fight to the death to get to the promise land. During a Championship run? Never, but you can find all sorts random of stats to support whatever your argument. For the record, I do believe it's alarming, but I don't think it's necessarily doomsday. You play the games in the Playoffs for a reason. Who would have bet on GS beating the Mavs a few years ago? Lakers have won Championships without homecourt. I have said this all year long, it's really incredibly difficult to win 3 straight. If the Lakers make it to the Finals again this year, it will be 4 straight appearances to the NBA Finals. I'm not counting them out just yet.

Trade? Propose one that makes sense for all parties involved.
