First was a 2005 BMW Z4 E85 3L with a manual transmission. Car was at a dealer interstate, and my dad flew down with me to share the drive home.
He took delivery of his E89 a week later! Since then, I've had an E46 M3, an F20 LCI 125i, and soon I'll be picking up an E9x M3 |

I've actually been actively searching for an '82 320i like I had back in the day as a project car. Found a couple "potentials" around my area, but not sure whether I have the scratch to "bring it back" so to speak. Really do want to get my hands on one again, tough going though.

1996 318ti Sport (5-speed manual of course):
http://www.318ti.org/gallery-old/koral/index.html In the first picture above, went to a BMW meet at a state park in Maryland and let GIAC (http://www.giacusa.com) take a soldering iron to my ECU on a picnic table under a pavilion to reprogram the M44 software. Despite the smile, I was a little nervous to be the first guinea pig. Thought we might get stranded but we returned home that day. My wife was not pleased that I didn't bring the radio code (required after battery disconnect) so we had no music on the 7 hour drive home. |

My first personal ever BMW was a wonderful absolute Black MINI Cooper S MT R53, then I bought and restored my father's old 525tds E39 sedan which is still in my garage. In the meantime i had for three years an E87 120d, and now I own an F20 M140i. My brother owns a 530d F10 at the moment.

That's awesome. You know, I don't care how old BMW's get, if they're well looked after and is with an owner that cares(we enthusiasts), the styling at the very least can carry it on for years. Every once in a while I'll come upon a good looking and maintained 80's model that hasn't been riced out, either stock or conservatively upgraded and to me, they're still bad ass.

I have only had one other BMW before, and that was a 2007 335i manual in red.
Test drove a G30 540i a few weeks ago, and promptly ordered one. I couldn't help but compare it to the 335i, and it literally was better in every respect. Still, the 335i was a very enjoyable car. A few pics.... |

My first is my current car, a 2015 328i -- base model, I presume, but it has power and gadgets enough for me. A pic from the dealer's lot -- I plan to have better ones soon:

My first BMW was an E30 1992 318i Convertible. Glacial blue metallic, blue top, blue interior. 5 speed manual, heated cloth seats. It had the national weather radio service which broadcast with a robot voice. The seats were so narrow and the side bolster would squeeze you in place. I don't think my fat butt would even fit in those seats anymore.

My first BMW was an ‘01 325Cic that I owned for nearly seven years, it was an auto and I jumped at the chance to replace it with a manual. It’s been about three years and I still love driving the E92.

MY first BMW was my '13 535i a few years ago but my family had a 740iL back in 2004 which was my first experience with BMW. I'll try to find a photo in the photo albums from it. It was soo comfy and the back seat room was awesome. It was black on black.
