Nothing really, I just joke about him all the time. He has this overbite and turns his head sideways a lot, so he looks funny.

He's also really affectionate and when the other dogs are getting a cuddle, he'll run in there and push them out of the way to get his cuddle.

So I call him the cuddle rapist.

He's great with the kids though...

( Maybe I should reorganize a few sentences there... )

Anyway my point was that the cost is the same for the birth -- the hospital, doctors, etc., charge the same. The difference is if you pay it all or your insurance pays most of it. The cost to the insured is obviously different, but that was not what I was referring to.

The guy who made the $50k comment is in the UK, where they have the NHS and the costs of medical procedures in the US are a lot higher than many European countries, in general, because of socialized medicine.
Yep.....

I saw the insurance bills....it was 43k for the hospital and another 6.5k for the baby. Insurance paid 27 and 4. There were weekly non stress and ultrasounds at 1700 per week. My wife maxed her out of pocket at 1k, and the baby $300 and change, so we paid about $1400. We now have my insurance which would cost us 7k as that's the max out of pocket. My point is that a woman will hit her max out of pocket with a pregnancy. The delivery was 4 -and insurance paid 4. I get the feeling most people don't look at the insurance claims.

I Had a Pit come after me one day in a attacking manner and i did not hesitate to kick him right in the face.

I didnt let that effect me i still like pits and any dogs as long as they are somewhat trained

if my dogs ever showed any aggression to any of my kids, I wouldn't hesitate to calmly walk upstairs, grab my glock, come downstairs and put one in it's thick skull.....

in 23 years, I have had zero incidents - and I plan on keeping it that way...

I'm not a thug that keeps chains and tires on their dogs outside in 110 heat indexes in Houston and I'm not an owner that goes 3 days without feeding their dogs...

hell, my dogs have eaten more center cut filets and calamari than some human beings lololololol.....

tonight they're getting pulled pork....

I've never had any issue with any pit, or bully for that matter, ever. Raised 4 dogs from pups (blacklab, shepherd, collie and boxer) and one pit after it was seriously abused for 2 years so far and no issues with them. Had the pit for 8 years after it's abuse and it was a sweetheart once I retrained it. Great animals to have, especially if you have kids.

Plenty of problems with other breeds, mostly brown labs cockerspaniels and small dogs, and no, don't hesitate, always put your welfare above that of a dog getting ready to show some flesh ruining attitude. Use your knees, heels of your shoes, metal on a leash if you're walking your dog, heels of your hands, whatever you have and they will respond quickly.

Then take the same method to the owner that allowed the dog to build that temperament. A good lashing for the dog to save your ass and a good lashing for the shitty owner that spawned it.

This thread is now pointless.

As of today's date, due to economic concerns and the loss of fun and spontaneous personal weekend getaways, added stress, rising costs, government funding cuts, and a personal affidavit from the Dalai Lama, all future children in the United States have been outlawed. It was on all the news morning, including Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel.

We may now return to discussing other mundane things, such as the engineering and design flaws of yogurt containers, redneck roadrage, and the ever-elusive problems with an unexpected tax bill for 2013.

Carry on.

Just thought I'd pass along the news.

It's all in the owners. I've been around good and bad owners of pits. Same instance as "parents". Most of the shitty kids i've been around, have had shitty parents.

9 times out of 10, there is a product of the environment. Yeah, there are cases where this isn't always true, but I'm sure a dog that has been around poor ownership, will likely yield poor results. If you baby a dog and it becomes a lap partner, even if a pit, it will likely be very humble, loving, and playful.

Basically, except after 10 years I don't think your dog will openly admit to hating you if you don't buy him/her a new toy every time you go to the store.

I am not an expert as I don't eat yogurt, but I imagine that some of the issues surrounding the containers would be no different than what the Orange Juice Industry of America faced when they colluded to reduce the containers from 64 to 59 oz. There was not a lot of time to ramp up, and if you studied game theory, there's always someone who will cheat. Simply Orange with "most pulp" delayed and kept using the remainder of their 64 oz. containers which actually boosted sales to the detriment of Tropicana, Florida's Natural, Hillbilly's Best, and Sour Grove Farms.

If you had a tax bill for 2013, you are doing something very wrong, very wrong. If you did it yourself, go to HR Block. If you went to HR Block, better get the fee you paid back and DIY

lol I guess getting back to the main topic, I bet in the majority of cases, kids just happened, and parents make the necessary changes to their lives. In most cases I would think that when people got married, they probably discussed it and wanted kids at some point. When would most likely be uncertain.

When I was just out of college I even thought maybe I don't want to have kids, I mean I certainly want to have a nice car, a home, etc., and these things are harder to attain with a family (but not necessarily with a spouse aka dinks).

And now that I have a son (only 4 mos.) I have to admit, it really is one of the most rewarding things in life. It sounds so ordinary, natural, normal, etc. But personally, and with your spouse, it truly is something special.

Great question to pose on a BMW message board.....aka most people on here probably fall between 24-36 year old range and are individuals who, well, drive BMW's and prefer "that" lifestyle.

From most of the replies I see here most of you are selfish, and I am one of those ppl....or was until I become a dad at age 22. You want to be able to take that vacation or go to the gym whenever you feel like, as would most people.

Yeah, majority of you on here without kids see and are reading what those of us with kids pay for child care, school, etc and think of all that money you could spend on yourself or your next car.

But, take it from someone who has a 3 year old and in their mid twenties. Of course I think about what life would be like if I was single and only had to worry about supporting myself. But my son is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Sure there are late nights, tantrums, toddler years, etc.

But you can't replace time with family or even explain the love you feel for your own child until you experience it.

But, boy I thought I was selfish until I read some of the replies in here.

Not to take the wind from your sails, but i really doubt a single fuck will be given by anyone when being lectured by a mid 20's guy who knocked someone up at age 22.

Gotta go, headed out on a vacation, in my new car, but i wanna hit the gym before i leave.
