Oh hey thanks, and nice Benelli! I actually sold the RMR and just have the standard ghost rings on my M4 now. I prefer the ghosts on the gun as opposed to any optic I've tried, but I certainly appreciate the tip! Thank you as well for the compliment, my dad and I love to go shooting and try to go at least twice a week.

Argh, you know I put it on the gun so long ago I can't remember. However, I think it's this one (certainly looks like it).

Here's a great place to go to get all your M4 and other shotgun parts. This is where I got all my 922(r) stuff for it. (no affiliation with sellers of course)

I run the Freedom Fighter Tactical charge handle on my M4. I chose the smaller size version in titanium.
My bolt release button is from GG&G.

Hah thanks! I just recently sold a SCAR 17 in FDE too. Nice gun, but way overpriced and quite frankly HUGE. I like smaller compact weapons like bullpups.
I agree with you about the SCAR being bulky and gets heave over time... but I can wholeheartedly vouch for its effectiveness over long distances in certain mountainous regions around the world, when you need to reach out and touch the enemy.

Hand to get one for personal use after experiencing it professionally!

So it uses the same NATO round as M14. FN_Fal and AR10? Never having seen one in person I'm curious what makes it superior to these other platforms? I know the FAL and M14 make poor platforms for scopes but the AR10 is excellent.

To be honest, I never fired the FAL or the AR 10, but I definitely prefer the SCAR 17 over the M14 platform.

I found the M14 lacking in versatility if compared to the MK17. I'm just referring to the fact that the modern design of the SCAR is better for a more universal use (close / mid / long) depending on what your role is, vs the M14 is of a bit outdated (yet beautifully classic) platform that would not be as functional in a close quarters environment.

Just my 2 cents, of course. Most weapons can be mastered by the user once they decide to perfect their craft.

I own a civilian M14 (M1A). And I agree with your assessment. And the military did too. Shortest lifespan as US Army primary rifle in the history of the service. BTW I like shooting it but it is limited. I prefer the Garand. Go figure.

I've just never seen a SCAR in person. Seems like a similar thing to an AR10 which I think is an excellent platform. Can be made short barrel or long. Iron sites or flattop for excellent use scoped. Whatever. Plenty of room for more than one choice.

I second that, had compared the SCAR L to the SCAR H before buying and the L is the more variable sportsrifle for me.

The SCAR L is a fine choice for a rifle!

I selected the H because I already have a nice AR15 I built for 5.56, so when shopping for a second rifle, decided on the 7.62/.308 for something with a bit more distance and stopping power.

Many of you guys have some amazing hardware in your collections! My goal at the moment is to have 2 each (like the rifles, for example), lol. I'm only 60% complete at the moment but this can be an expensive hobby! Just like my other hobbies...

I have no excessive hardware toppings onto the rifle, 3x magnifier onto a flip-rail and EO Tech 552, angled foregrip and new flash hider. Maybe anytime a silencer, but this is tricky item in Germany.
