You remember the days that you had to know where someone was to call them.
I tried to explain this to my kids and they just couldn't wrap their heads around this. In thinking about it how did we know? Did we all keep similar schedules? Were we less mobile and more predictable? IDK

I remember the small cereal boxes that you could cut open and not require a bowl.

Mom would buy those mini cereal boxes for us on occasion. They probably weren't the most economical way to buy cereal, but it was much more fun to eat.

My folks would bring cases of those with us when we went camping. Saved Mom from washing a lot of bowls and such.

The campground we stayed at most of the time had a snack bar at the playground and ballfield. They used to sell Birch Beer. Loved that stuff.

My (Hispanic) wife is now always on the lookout for the Mexican coke in a bottle. They are something like 8 oz, but I think actually in mL. From the few sips I've had, they contain significant more sugar.
Mom/Dad certainly didn't want 2-4 boys drinking soda in an enclosed vehicle when next hotel is 500+ miles away, or as far as Dad could drive. |

Isn't that what Chipotle sells, the Mexican Coke in the bottle? Have had one or two while enjoying a burrito bowl in the past. Just in one today and saw the bottled Coke there. A number of grocery stores and Walmart sell it around here. Available online.

Speaking of Coke, remember my dad using it to clean the battery posts on the car battery. Still drink that stuff, the Coke that is to this day.

Every time that someone mentions Coke made/bottled in Mexico, the first thing that I think of is Montezuma's revenge.....
