The last three pictures are an e53, not e70.

I would much rather have a 2nd gen Raptor the render is based on. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if BMW decided to build a truck seeing that VW already has the Amorak, and Mercedes will have the X class. I don't expect to see any of these in the US though.

Yea but merc already has a very mature truck/van platform. To me this is throwing good money to bad. There are many things that BMW should "fix" in their current line up before embarking on this.

Besides, 60-70k pickup trucks that last 15 years I understand but this would be very expensive to purchase and would not be practical over the long run.

It would NEVER look as good as the first photo. Just for that reason alone, don't do it.

Yep... still looks great though.

Let's get some perspective here. The X-Classe is not a luxury truck but an additional model spun from Nissan-Renault. It is intended as a commercial vehicle which Mercedes-Benz has a commercial line. BMW however does not and does not foresee any entry into such a segment.
Out with the one-offs BMW Group only offered one commercial a van version of the previous MINI Clubman.

Our GT will be a worthy successor to the original GT which was successful with many markets.

I'm torn.

Mercedes makes heavy duty trucks. Does BMW do anything like that OTUS? If not, I would tend to stay away. Just as I would if Mercedes Benz started to make motorcycles.

That would be awesome but BMW would have to build a bespoke engine to qualify. Single cam

That's makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up Scott.

Honestly I think I'd be more interested in a larger SUV competing with a Navigator, etc.

Nope!

Mercedes has experience making rugged offroad cars not so much BMW. Their cars are fragile, high maintenance, overly complicated. I doubt they could execute a pickup correctly unless they partnered with someone for development.
