Despite it not being below 70 degrees F here, I bet you're glad to be back. We're happy you're safe!

What if I buy the Xede Stage Subzero (v360) with 93/4 & 100 octane maps. What steps would I have to take to update my maps, once I upgrade down the road to Shiv's high flow exhaust (w/cat delete)? Also, can I use the 93/4 octane map with the Washington state 92 octane rated gas?

I see you have 18% tint. Have you gotten any tickets yet? In WA the legal limit is 35% Film. I haven't tinted mine yet.

The tuning is free for now b/c shiv is doing testing on the install and building up a database of maps for future release.
Its a win/win.

Two questions: Any idea when you'll have the 100 Octane maps ready? And any idea what date the Xede's will start shipping out? I have no idea what order my order was placed (or how many are ahead of me) so that might be tough to say. Anyway, keep up the good work and let me know if you plan to head to AZ!!

Allright, I'm confused! I spent an hour and read everything in the sticky section for "Tuning a 335i. "
I then went to the ordering page and looked at the options to specify when ordering. Can someone answer the following questions for me, is this the correct sequence of events? 1. On Vishnu's website You specify whether you have an E90 or E92 (probably doesn't make a difference) 2. Specify what modifications you're running, and the octane you will primarily use in your car? 3. You will then receive the new hardware and wireing harness (not sure what it looks like) flashed to your desired specifications? Plug it in and go ? |

OK, I do have one more questions though. I'm quite familiar with Hondata and the incredible work they have done with the K-series motors. They offer two different engine Mgmt options. 1. A flash based program http://hondata.com/reflash.html (you send them them your ECU, they flash it to the program you pick and send it back you)
and 2. K-Pro,http://hondata.com/kpro.html which gives you the software and the ability to have full control over engine Mgmt yourself. I'm assumming the XEDE is more of the flashed based option, just not on the actual ECU itself, more of a piggyback ( so to speak ). Can I ask Shiv what made you go this way ? (I'm assuming the ability to have total removal of the program if need be?) Just curious, any pros and cons of both systems in your opinion? |
