I suspect a properly loaded Civic -R will likely approach its MSRP of around $40k
and it is boy racer just like a WRX / GTI so no its not the car we've all waiting for.. maybe some of us its a nice I4 but the B48 reaches decent torque alil faster than that just after 2000RPM |

Totally love it. It is completely over the top, just like a Type R should be. The fact that most people are turned off to it tells me Honda has it just right. BMW should take inspiration from this.

Looks like the latest jr. autobot to fight the decepticons.
We'll call em' "boy racer"!

Anyone remembers starcom toys from the 80's?
This civic looks similiar to one of the Rockets, they had back in the days. To busy, to much going on, to immature. |

At least the target market won't have to pay extra for the professional vandalism.

This has way too much going on. Fender flares, vents, fake vents, "3 exhaust pipes", a lot of shark fins, big vents....I mean I understand wanting aggressive but that is god awful.
People say cars like the GTO or G8 or SS are too bland. I'm happy they are because I would not want them to look like this thing! Interior is decent but nothing I would ever want to own. |

I have been reading other old forums I belong to and people are going nuts for this thing. I guess they have never had anything but Honda's.
I had a supercharged 08 SI and it was fun and fast for a civic but I would never go back after owning a BMW. The style, performance, and tech of a BMW |

I actually think they styled the Type R just right for their target market. No it's not my taste, but I can see the appeal for those in the JDM crowd. It is Fast and Furious style, which is obviously what they were going for, and I can appreciate some variety on the road.
