Dealers in Texas are still charging over MSRP for base models, not sure what they'd do with the Z06's.

This is superb, well done GM even as a concept. I don't think I can personally handle that much power, particularly at the track (I'd need multiple sets of under- and over-wear). I also think this is going to eat up into GT3/RS and GTR sales. $100K for a loaded ZO6 with such credentials (albeit on paper) is amazing.
The waiting list at my local dealerships is 50+, just amazing. |

the z06 is awesome, and so is the 991. for a pure drivers car I would rather either one over an m3. but since I like to only own one car at a time, the m3 is a no brainer |

c7 Z06 is in its own league, and cannot be compared to anything else available today. This price/performance package is unbeatable and is a deal of the century.
I doubt there will be anyone who gets this car will use it as a daily driver. On the other hand, m3/4 is still the best all around car in the world imo. |

I also believe GM did a great job with this new Vetter. I have never been an American car guy but the Vette is different. That price for the Z06 is a huge bargain for what you get. Good on GM.

The C7 can disable 4 cylinders during highway cruising. Besides that, reports have shown the C7 over exaggerates it's mpg. It's possible to get the claimed mileage but difficult.

This was true for the C5 & C6. Absolutely false for the C7.

Haters gonna hate right? You'll find the same thing in pretty much any forum, blind love/hate for whatever car they drive or think is best and anything else is terrible. It's mostly seen in american vs foreign with what seems a bit more hate coming from the german car lovers assuming anything american is crappy. But I digress.
Looks like you can "check every box" and get the z06 around $100k which is crazy. The upgrades follow closely with what the normal stingray has when it comes to upgrade costs (1lt, 2lt, 3lt etc). The difference being the z07 package which has cc brakes and all other goodies for a fairly good price. I think if I were to theoretically get one I'd opt for options that would put it in the $90k range, which is crazy what you get with it. I think they all come with HUD and Mag Shocks, even the 'bare bones' version. 2015 ZO6 Pricing just out..... 1YZ07 Corvette Z06 Coupe -- $78,000.00 MSRP ..........................Destination... $995.00 1YZ67 Corvette Z06 Conv ----$83,000.00 MSRP ..........................Destination ...$995.00 2LZ Z06 Equipment Group 1YZ07/1YZ67 --$3,270.00 3LZ Z06 Preferred Equipment Group 1YZ07/1YZ67 --$8,650.00 Z07 - Performance Package includes: (J57) 4-wheel antilock, 4-wheel disc, carbon ceramic brakes, (FE7) Z07 suspension with Magnetic Selective Ride Control, (XFM) front P285/30ZR19 and rear P335/25ZR20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 summer-only run flat tires, and level 3 Aero Package (splitter end plates and clear adjustable wicker bill) ----$7,995.00 Requires CFZ or CFV CFZ - Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package includes Carbon Flash-painted splitter and rockers, and more aggressive rear spoiler ---------$2,995.00 CFV - Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package includes visible Carbon Fiber splitter and rockers, and more aggressive rear spoiler --------$3,995.00 |

listen, I LOVE BMW, and I am completely smitten with GmBH for a long time now, but come the f*ck on, anyone saying any M4/M3 is "better" in any way (interior included) than this C7 Z06 is just a myopic sackrider, plain and simple. my 0.02

Right with you. I'm planning on getting a M3 next year but good lord, what Chevy is doing with the C7 is nothing short of amazing, especially considering the value. What is going to be a better performer than the z07 for less than double the price? Triple? The thing that made me scoff was the interior previously, but I'd say the new version in 3lt trim (the stingray) is every bit as good as the m4. Fun times. Can't wait to see what the new Mustang turns out to be and whatever the SVT version is. And I havent even seen much on the C63 which surely will be great too. If you're an honest car lover, you should be in heaven (I am and seem to want everything!). |
