Looking good! Hmm, I wonder if the negative camber from a drop would help "tuck" the rears in?

Does anyone know how much the wheel travels in relationship to the fender, up and down as you go over bumps and corners?

That will vary quite a bit. With a stock car, suspension travel (generally) can range from 1-2". This will change depending on how stiff your suspension is (if added springs, coilovers etc). Your alignment/toe will also affect how the suspension travels. For example: with a bit of negative camber the wheel/tire assembly won't travel in a normal South-North but rather South-Northwest/east.

I didn't get around to fitting the wheels saturday as planned, had to go pick up a 1970 Cutlass i stumbled upon on craigslist so that took up most of the day. I will try to get it done one of these days and post how it went. Thanks VMR for then info, with that in mind i think the wider rears should work.

sergkoko, did you try a 255/35 tire with that wheel (9.5 width ET45) after all? Did it work?

Just a note that the recent Dinan S3 prototype had a drop (Dinan) and managed to run this setup. I asked which wheels and tires were on the car and this was the response:
Wheels: Front: 19 x 8 ET 40 – BBS CH-R (custom modification) Rear: 19 x 9 ET 44 – BBS CH-R (custom modification) Tires: Front: 245/35-19 – Michelin Pilot Super Sport Rear: 265/30-19 – Michelin Pilot Super Sport Article with pics is here: http://www.autoblog.com/2015/09/18/2...i-first-drive/ Last edited by dglende; 11-25-2015 at 02:32 PM..
