ROFL but you weigh like 170-180 something and how tall are you?
its all good, you bench your weight or more, is good enough! I don't bench like ever, nothing to gain in benching. I'm trying bulk up but slim down, doesnt work ever lol. But i need to run

I have trained for and completed 3 Chicago Marathons - does that count as "actually working out"?

I lift 3-4 times a week and train in TKD 1-2 a week. Have had to cut back on the heavy lifting since getting tendinitis in the elbow back in Sept/Oct. Really frustrating. And no disrespect intended, benching ones body weight is usually considered a minimum.

I haven't heard that since HS! If anyone really told you, would you beleive them? Also, a one rep bench isn't really used anymore, except in competitions specifically looking at one rep max. A more realistic stat is number of reps with a given weght, which tests power, a more realistic "strength". The NFL looks at how many times you can bench 225lbs. A couple years back some guy from Ohio State set the record with 43 or 47 reps (I forget), but most of the big guys are in the mid to upper 20's, and the little quick shits are down in the high teens and low 20's. I hit a 1 rep max of 405 back when I was lifting heavy. No need for that now, I have fun comparing myself to the kids in the combine every year. I'm up to 24, almost 25 reps at 225. Puts me around the level of a good middle linebacker

I work out every day. I am trying to get to 200lbs and stay around 10% bodyfat. Im 6'1. Its not easy!
Nothing feels better than walking out of the gym after a nice workout, and getting into my e90 for a relaxing drive home with a chew in. |
