AMG's definitely went soft with the design not as aggressive as previous generation.
You gotta love that engine sound though. The question is how would it drive compared to M3/M4 ? |

It's an awesome car for sure with no doubt what so ever, and if I had to choose between the two it would be a difficult choice. I'm still very happy with my F80, more power than I can handle and that carbon fibre roof, where else can you get that on a 4 door car under $100K. Exhaust sounds be damned, the M3 is an amazing car.
However, based on aesthetics alone I still got a little rebel in me and like some aggression and must have some stealth fighter looking vents and flares on my car, the Mercedes looks like something I could honestly rent at Avis...except from the front. Not into the whole sleeper gentlemen stuff. |

Is it me or does the exterior look a little Infinity? I had a 2014 507, and it sounds like all of the things that people like about the C63, this car has and more. However, if you didn't like the previous car, like me, then you probably won't appreciate the new car either.
I love engines as much as the next guy, but in the end the V8 of the C63 was not enough for me to ignore all the other little things about MB that I didn't like, such as narrow rear wheels and the MCT. |

For me this car is not just normal looking, it's almost like they went out of the way to soften it. Also not a fan of the ipad interior.
That's a shame because it seems like the mechanics are equal or maybe better than BMW's ... but the looks are a deal breaker for me. |

I'm not a fan of the interior. MB has definitely made some big strides here. I still prefer the more aggressive M4 over this.

I'm just not a fan of the back of the C Class. Every time I see one on the road I just think its a Buick.

![]() Seriously though, C63 seems like a serious machine. The interior fit n finish seems at least one step above the F8x. Obviously the Nav screen is ridiculous! But everything else screams quality and attention to detail, to me. |

Thank you Mercedes. I still thing the Bmw M4 looks better. Way more raw. This car will steal some buyers, but then again I say thank you. Because this will singlehandedly gaurentee the comp package which will gaurentee the M4 will be another classic and tweak and address any shortcomibgs. The comp package will probably be more inline to the C63S. This C63 seems more docile. I wanted to yawn. He said it sounded great...i thought it sure sounded muted. Can't wait for the H2H.

I'm sure it is a great car, loads of power, great handling, etc but is does absolutely nothing for me aesthetically. As my daily driver, I want something that is not only fun to drive but is pleasing to my eye and this car doesn't do it for me. Way too conservative for my taste. I'm sure there are plenty of people that this car is perfect for though.

My friend has a 2014 C63 507 edition and that looks waaay better than this. MB looks like it took a step backwards. Maybe the Black Series or Coupe will look better.

I like the size of the C class but I think the styling of the E class is nicer looking. The current C class styling reminds me of Kia's attempt at a luxury car a few years ago. I just can't get into the look of the new car.
Honestly - put that motor in the current E class and you're set. |

I posted this in the other thread...
Based on this, it doesn't appear to have really leap frogged the M cars and is likely pretty close overall. Maybe it comes down to what you personally like best. Fair enough. It seems like the cars maintained their relative character to one another this generation with the C63 being a bit more of a muscle car feel than the M. I bet it will be a great street car and maybe better than the M in that regard. For the track, it initially appears that the M is better suited... not that you see many C63's there anyway. HOWEVER... the only disappointment for me is that it really doesn't look that aggressive and has a shape that doesn't appeal to me as it is so round and soft looking... very subjective and personal view, obviously... and the wheels are too Grandpa looking and no ability for concavity which is similar to the old C63. The M wins the looks race, IMO, by a mile. Overall, seems like a great car from MB and will be a big hit. I will defer on my final decision about looks until I can see one in the flesh.

Most reviewers will probably say c63s> M3 >c63, I also have a feeling the c63s will be at least 10k more than a base m3. Looking forward to seeing more info on the coupe version, as of now there's too much chrome in this car for my taste

Looks not very agressive, I like more the wagon.
All in all the engine is better, than the S55, the whole car is not that good as M3. This is the car for people who don't go to the track and like the power an the straight with brutal sound. I think that if make a decat/flash tune on this car, it will be a rocket on the straight) I'm happy with my M3 and don't even look at the c63s like on car that i want. But I respect it.
