You need either an eye exam or sleep or a combination of both.

Those two cars look nothing alike.

I think he was referring to the tail lights as they do look a little similar in overall shape

I'd say this car would finally put BMW back in the game after several years of sitting on the bench as far as styling is concerned.

If they make anything close to this, I might finally find reason to trade in my e92.

The tail lights, trunk lines, bumper shape, and feature line, look nothing alike.

Take another clear hard look.

Who cares about aesthetics. It's a FWD car.

Based on these sketches and big front overhangs of this car, it will be based on the next generation's 2 series FWD/transverse engine platform (or current Mini, 2 series Active Tourer and X1). I did this render of a M2 GranCoupé based on the current 2 series (and 3 series) RWD architecture... I'm afraid there won't be a RWD M2 GranCoupé in the future at BMW...

Lovely proportions. I'd buy one as a smallish practical commuter that's also fun at the weekend. Would have to be X Drive though if it's a FWD platform.

Shame about the vast amount of BMW marketing waffle that accompanies the photos. What a load of meaningless cr&@!!

I actually quite like the design, but the F30 is pretty damn spot on space wise for a family imo. This would have been a cool small drivers car (or second car in our garage) if it had the RWD setup

I will post live photos later.
Intended for China only for now its reaction will determine its availability in other markets, including popular sedan markets like the USA and India.
The concept in exterior and interior is around 90% production reality once the conceptual accessories are removed.
It is a UKL car but available with xDrive and also eDrive.
The car utilises many design features found within a BMW Sedan. Such as a three dimensional character-line and pronounced wheel arches as well as the typical dynamic roof line.
An M Performance model is considered using the upcoming engine that will be featured on the BMW X1, X2 and the MINI Clubman,Countryman and Countryman Coupe.

"This sedan stands for everything that sets bmw apart". Who is this moron? He knows he works for bmw or he thinks its audi? What A load of marketing BS. Its a fwd, transverse 4cyl only eps car. It stands for NOTHING that sets bmw apart. Shame cause if it was rwd this would be my first new bmw in a long time

Garage List
Me Likes!

Looks like a slimmed down Grand Lusso Concept!

Except that it's FWD!

But we'll see how it'll drive, handle and cost!

About the only thing maybe in common is the wheels.

Completely different design languages.
