To the OP, since we don't have the S3 in the US, I can't really help you. However, considering the power it makes and how much it weighs, I can't imagine it ever beating a 335.
But I can't for the life of me figure out why people who don't like certain topics, enter, read, and post about the certain topics they don't like, telling everyone why they don't like them. Just don't click. No one forced you to post here.

I'd say the 335i is a tad bit faster... but I probobly would rather have an S3, unless it was a 335i coupe (then it would be a really tough decision). I just love the S3, and I am sure that the face lifited S3 which comes out end of this year will be even hotter.

This thread is funny, starts with arguments and then ends with some appreciation to the 335d...
it's like a bunch of anti-gay guys went in a gay bar and start saying how gay people should be hanged, and the next second starts sitting together and talk about how great their biceps are.... haha...maybe not the best way to describe this situation....but o well |

threads like these are basically about proving whose dick is bigger when they should be about whose dick can satisfy.

Have to laugh at the conversation above...when someone does race someone, the responses on this forum are often "magazine racer" responses ("There is no way your car could have beaten such and such") or a bunch of self righteous people telling people they should be ashamed for racing because it is sooooo dangerous.

I wouldn't think a S3 in stock form would work with a 335i in acceleration. Standing start it may hold a 335i to about 80~90mph (high 3rd gear) but after this point the 335i will steadily pull chunks out of it.
On a twisty road is where the S3 will stand a very good chances of winning. For you lot in the states who haven't sampled the mighty S3's handling balance would be pleasantly surprised as to how grippy and adjustable it is. No the only car which will have the 335i concerned is the TTS, the spec of this little car is very impressive and having driven the TT2.0fwd I know just how light on it's feet is feels. |
