It wasn't just "a storm". People's homes are gone. Lives were lost. You are not here. Louisiana was hit hard. Your opinions do not count. My house is fine but just 5 miles down the road power has not been restored. Think of the people that depend on electricity that do not have transportation. People on medical machines needed to live.

To simplify this for you: people in the Mid-Atlantic region tend to overreact when driving, endangering the lives of others on the roadways when inclement weather takes place. This is not detrimental nor to take away from what has happened elsewhere, since my post was specifically intended for the geographical region surrounding my location.
In the future, I'll be sure to spell everything out for you so the shit doesn't get lost in translation. EDIT: Oh, and about the news part, same goes for that, as well. We get serious weather, we lose power, we do our best to recover. Sad that I had to go this in-depth to explain a fucking post.

We got plenty of hail, also. And major flooding. People actually had to be tug-boated out of many spots/ravines. But it is mostly done for, thankfully.
Lots of people don't have power though. For example in my county (Montgomery) almost 5,000 lost it in about an hour. Hopefully they get it restored soon.
