Disgusting is probably too far. Unpleasant possibly. Some non smokers have actually complimented the aroma. I can certainly see not all liking the smell. These days since you can't really smoke indoors in my area, I'm either in my backyard or outdoors somewhere.

I think it depends on where you're located as well. I was being extreme. However, I do remember going to fireworks show once, this guy was smoking a cigar and people gathering were not pleased at all. Dirty looks and people moving away. I actual thought people were taking it too far. At the same time I thought it was funny how he was getting shunned. ha ha

I wonder if the non-smokers that complimented you were just being nice. I find that very unusual.
