Victim was stabbed in the head and neck several times. What a terrible way to go, imagining all the pain he felt before dying. I'm sorry for Pipers family and for my aunt/uncle as this will haunt them forever, having a son as a murderer.

F30lolz - I doubt that few people on here can relate to your current situation. I know what you are going through - the sheer shock and disbelief is almost mind-numbing.

Be careful if u go to funeral. People can look for ANY scapegoat to vent their anger. Would hate to see a thread about u in hospital with no job/insurance

you really feel "joking" about this is appropriate?? Many tragedies took place here to both families and the only thing you want to contribute is an obnoxious joke?? People find support in many different ways and the OP chose to use this forum for support, Thanks for your contribution to the thread........

F30lolz I am so sorry to hear this. I have never been through anything like this and I hope that you can take care of yourself, first, then provide whatever comfort and relief that you can to both families.

This. Remember, if you neglect yourself, you will have no well of strength to draw from to help others. A form of altruistic selfishness, but truer than true.

Yeah I know anyone associated with my cousin showing up wouldn't look good but I do want to find out the location of the services regardless. FWIW, I found out the past couple of days that Piper once tried to evict my cousin from his condo and even had a restraining order against him. Also he was on meth.

This week I'll reach out to my aunt/uncle and be there for them. Not sure if they'll put a 2nd mortgage on the house for a lawyer and have him plead insanity but overall two lives ended.

Even though it is hard for you to deal with, it seems like you definitely know the right things to do with staying close to our family and reaching out to your aunt and uncle. With meth involved, anything can happen, so I wouldn't take it too hard, hard drugs make people do insane things. Hopefully better days are coming for you and your family.

Thanks everyone.

My cousin was denied bond today and told the judge he is God's Will. He may play the insanity card as expected.

I can relate sort of. One of my best friends was convicted of murder a couple of years ago, they thought they could get him off with a self defense argument, (2 people drunk both with guns and an argument ensued, killed him) My bud got life. I was devastated, know him for over 25 years. Sorry to hear about your situation.

I don't know if he's playing an insanity card, he sounds like he was going through a mental break. Meth can do some pretty nasty stuff to the brain.

Sorry to hear man about the stuff you and your family have been going through. Hopefully things improve.

Yes, including humor. I just about spit out my coffee when I saw the "hang in there" picture. If the OP only wants sympathy then posting in a public forum was silly. You will get mixed responses from people who deal with these situations in different ways. Everyone feels bad that his mother-in-law and grandmother passed at the same time he lost his job and his cousin allegedly murdered his lover but if one of us could get him to crack a smile in the midst of this incredibly heavy shit, I think that's a win.

So my cousin is going for the insanity plea but will be a while before a trial gets underway.

Even though this is the web, I think we all feel something, the same shock, numbness, etc. that you might be feeling.

I remember on another car forum, we were reconnecting after +10 yrs., and someone revealed he had been gone 13 yrs. due to a murder sentence. How does one react to that?

I still cannot believe it, though my aunt/uncle and their kids have seemed to move on from their lives. They recently went on vacation, looking happy in pics, hoping he gets out eventually. However, I still don't think he'll fool a jury. I haven't spoken to my aunt/uncle since last year but I may reach out to them as it's been just over two months since this occurred.
