I drove a DCT in an E90 M3 and it behaved oddly, also. You could like, blip the throttle before starting the move forward, it did roll a bit on inclines, etc. There was no brake resistance on flat ground. He did say that the DCT was horrid in traffic though, on the test drive; jumpy, sputter, sensitive throttle. Of course, I know the Sport & Sport+ modes are not adequate for traffic, most likely.
