Yeah, all this pretty much guarantees that my next car won't be a BMW. Sowwee!

The engine specs seem to be a bit at odds and tough to rationalize too. A quad turbo I6 making 550hp, and an I6 hybrid at 500hp? These sound like some wild guesses. No doubt there will be further evolutions of the I6 both with and without eDrive (including Power eDrive), but it seems way too premature to be throwing out numbers like this.
I also strongly doubt that the 6 Series Gran Coupe would go away. And the 6 Sereis Convertible also seems unlikely to be discontinued. I especially don't see these two things happening to make way for the 9 Series which would be a much more up-market model. |

Big fan of the 4GC. I like the 6GC but not nearly as much as the regular 6er coupe. Hopefully my next car will be an M4GC or RS5 sportback (if Audi comes through and BMW doesn't, I may go back to the dark side).

The 4 series gran coupe actually is better looking than the current 3 series sedan. The 6 series GC is the best of the bunch but don't sleep on the 4, and BMW will be about 4 years too late to the market with the 2 series gran coupe ( aka E36 M3/4 version two) if it comes in 2019. A shame. |

BMW has way too many models out. Their greed is going to nip them in the butt!
They should focus on advancing the technologies in their cars and driver enjoyment instead of making a model for every class of income. Ps they could've made the Z4 amazing. Too bad.

Z5 Roadster is deep in testing and should be about ready for its long and nauseating strip tease.
Saving weight lead BMW back to a soft top and is very welcomed. Just put a manual in it! There will be another M Roadster. They could build a Z5 Coupe. The F06 Gran Coupe is currently the best looking car BMW makes right now. 6 Series Cabriolet going away? That would seem unlikely as BMW is going with a one car series? The return of the 8 Series makes sense but the current 6 Series is its successor but not in spirit. The 9 Series as BMW range-topper and slotted below Rolls-Royce should be coming and will be the technical and seriously posh powerhouse car. |

I also need higher ground clearance and don't want to sacrifice interior room. But don't call it an SUV (SAV) because that's for soccer moms. I want it to be shaped more like a coupe, even if it sacrifices interior room, they can make more room somewhere else, because I still want my interior room. I like my MPG & it doesn't snow where I live so xDrive isn't necessary. So i'll be waiting for the X0.2 18i sDrive (FWD) M-sport Sports Activity Coupe with the 1.0L quad-turbo 2-cylinder and 12-speed quad-clutch transmission (QCT). Also i'm definitely ticking the box for the "Ultimate Driver's Package", because then it basically autopilots the car for me, I hate driving.

The 6GC outsells the other 6 series by 2:1 so I don't see the GC going away anytime soon.. Unless BMW are cutting back on models to go back to the days when they were A LOT more exclusive to own then maybe. The only thing that agrees with that, is the supposed death of the 1 series which again I don't see happening. In the UK, they are EVERYWHERE and the cash cow of the brand but they are awful cars compared to the A3 and Golf. I hope this is BMW trying to move back to its roots and also them becoming more exclusive like they once were so we will continue to aspire to own the brand.

The 6 series, specifically the 6GC is the most beautiful of BMWs offerings at the moment. I really hope they don't screw it up.

I really like the 6, but it's priced out of its own market. I think if they can make it only slightly more than the 5 it'll be a hit. 4 turbos=

- X7 is confirmed - X2 is all but confirmed - 1er/2er go UKL2/3 (MB's success with the CLA, GLA, especially their AMG Variants, cannot be ignored) - Z4 goes away (could see a Z2 in the future pipeline) - Z5 positioned above current Z4, could easily replace the 6er Convertible. - 3GT/4GC "merge" sounds like part of the "iX" Products - 6 Gran Coupé and Coupé...a difficult position to be, in both model placement and pricing. Pull back too far, GC will cannibalize 5er sales. Keeping it close to where it is now runs the risk of continued 7er sales cannibalization. 4er *could* be positioned to replace the Coupé. GC and new Coupé/Convertible 8er. - 9er...the bridge (a very big and risky one) between BMW and Rolls Royce. The area where Bentley dominates, is getting even better, Porsche is about to start playing rather than watching the table. Soon VAG won't be merely playing well...they'll be the Casino. BMW better execute this perfectly. Whoever created RR Black Badge and the branding of it needs to be at the lead of this program. - M GmbH expands with M Performance across nearly every model range, core ///M Cars become defining of the future, Low-Mid Volume "Hommage" cars fill the gaps from bottom to top. |

That bit about the 6 series taking in the 911.
Wow. Clean sheet of paper and start again there then. Current 6 must weight about 300-400kg more ! Not an apples to apples segment at all. Panamera comparison yes fine.
