Try driving a Ford GT... Imposible to make a turn with that car. Anyone else hate the Fuji course? It is so annoying 90% of the turns are hairpins lol Eiger FTW!!!

i beat all the races . after you beat all of a class races, you unlock the tune feature, another movie in the gt-tv (replay of ending), and s class races. the s class races keep replaying s9 its the same full circle race w/ 5 laps but price money is now 32k. im almost done with the s class races also.
i used the z06 all the way in a class. i always had traction set on 1 and everything off besideds the brake line.

Just beat the S10, what a pain in the ass!
I used the Ford GT LM specII. You gotta tinker with the settings. You can also use the mine's skyline and the Amuse GT1. |

For the s-class play around with the gearing. Make it accelrate alot faster. Final gear lets say 4.10..., allows yout o get a top speed of 190 something and accelerate throught the gears very fast. Just be carefull not to get any penalty's.
I hate that when they crash you, you still get a penalty.!! |

I reckon the G25 is still the better quality product (materials, construction) but discussions on lack of 100% support with GT swayed me away. I'll probably pick up a playseats evo, my homemade rig is not cutting it anymore The evo seems better made than the classic and I guess $300 is an ok price for what it is. I'd love to get the Sparco GT set up but that's close to $600 About the buttkicker, how'd it attach to the playseat? Any idea? Thinking of picking it up as well. Let's meet up online someday. My SN is the same. Online is a rough place to be so far... lots of dirty racing

Nice wheel! Grats! I have almost the same set-up you are planning, except I have the G25, Playseat, and the cheapo buttkicker. Try ebay, by the way, for the Playseat. There's a company on there with a great rating called maxwho that sells it for WAY less than $300 with free shipping.
As for the buttkicker, I'm still playing around with the placement of it, but at the moment I have it installed under the chair, attached to the front, thin, crossbar, using a 10 mm or so metal socket. It works pretty well! I'll try to get some pictures tonight of my set-up. Oh and by the way, do NOT pay full price ($100+) for the buttkicker. There is an internet coupon floating around where you can buy it from buttkickerdirect.com for $50!!! At $50, it is a bargain for tall the use you'll get out of it (GTA IV rocket launchers, anyone?)

jaaz...thanks for the tips. I am contemplating an ebay purchase from that very same vendor. Great pricing and availability. But at the same time Amazon has a $50 off coupon for Playseats (its on their website) which, combined with free shipping, will make it a tad cheaper. Also looking at the obutto ozone which has gotten rave reviews.
I will definitely look into the buttkicker with that coupon. I saw a discussion about that. I'm hooked up to a 60" HD screen, still lacking a surround sound setup though. All this investment should be worth it with GT5 around the corner

You guys with the driving wheels see a difference in lap times? I was doing a time trial on the Eiger today and the best i got was 13th place for the car make. I gave up and just said it was done with a wheel but is there any truth to this?

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...e/content.html It's free and I swear it's the closest thing to a real driving simulator I have played since, well, Geoff Crammond's Formula 1 games. The sound is the best part. The M3 starting sound is spectular. The only thing that sucks is the interface, which is clunky at best.

GT5 is amazing. I have the logitech G25 wheel for it and its sooo much fun. I havent played a whole lot lately, but I'm 5 races away from finishing the S Events. I've found the best car to beat a good amount of them is the NSX-R. We should share the settings we're using and cars to beat certain races, I'm dying to get the F2007.
