Switching is a pain in the ass, but only once. Better to switch than continue suffering Xiaomi and Hauwei are both watch-listed for hard-coding spy software into their phones; I would strongly recommend staying away from them until they can prove themselves. |

I still have my Samsung S6 that I really like. Now that the carriers no longer have the 2-yr deals for a free/discounted phone, I'm not about to shell out $700+ for a new phone. The upgrades over the past few generations have seemed incremental at best, no big leaps in technology over the past couple generations.
My last job gave me an iPhone 6 for my work phone, so I got to use the iPhone 6 side-by-side with my Samsung S6. I still heavily prefer android, but I think it's just whatever system you get used to first. They both do the same thing, same capabilities really, I just know most of the shortcuts on Android. I do wish that Apple had more than one button, because the multiple android buttons were what I missed more than anything.

As usual, some decent features but some gimmicks too and still the problem of Android's poor app optimization and RAM management. I absolutely can't stand my Note and have been with Samsung since like the iPhone 4. Never again will I buy another Samsung product.
Back to Apple for the iPhone 8. They just make a better product and MUCH better software. |

I have an iPhone 6s as a work phone and a Samsung S7 edge as my personal phone. Have to say that my preference by a mile is the S7, however, I now own a BMW and the connectivity with the iPhone is better. Amazon music and Spotify both work from my iPhone but not from my S7 so I might be pushed towards a new iPhone next time I change.

I couldn't live with a phone that has a fingerprint scanner in such an absurd location. Literally have to jimmy around the phone just to scan your finger. Not to mention not being centered is a huge turnoff for a lefty like me.

I love the look of the phone, its super fast, no glitches, the camera puts the samsungs to shame. only prob is it has to be repaired in china if you run into problems.

I have an S7 edge for personal and a Iphone 6 for work and I absolutely despise the iphone. I hate the one button, everything seems more complicated to do not more simple than my s7, having to use iTunes to put music on it, etc.. Good thing I rarely have to use my work phone.
That being said I'm definitely waiting for a much more improved galaxy s model to come out before I get rid of this $600? s7e that is only like a year old. |

My personal phone is a iPhone 7 Plus and my work phone is a S7 Edge. I still sort of prefer my iPhone but I got used to that first.
I do like the S8 Plus, however I don't believe the upgrade is really worth it. The screen itself might be worth it but I probably won't do it. Already don't like the way you have to unlock the phone, it's just weird having to do it from the back. Too awkward.

Was thinking about getting the s8+, mostly because it'd be nice to have a big screen phone without all the bulk. The fingerprint scanner placement and battery life are my only concerns. I'm pretty happy with my oneplus 3t at the moment, so I'll wait til it's out and hear some real world feedback.

Looking at the specs the "new" features were rumored features for the next iPhone. I'll wait to see what Apple will release. My biggest issue with Samsung is that their software enhancements are gimmicky and bloated. Snapdragon runs really hot and Samsung phones don't hold their value. Had a S5 and it froze and crashed so many times that I don't know why people say they "love" Samsung. My friend had the S6 and it still had the same problems.

strange .. my s6 is turning 2 years old almost to the date and have had zero issues . the only problem now is my battery life isn't so great . use to put my phone in my locker [no phone allowed at desks] at work with minimal service and at the end of work battery would be in the 60% range now its in the 30s . of course this is me also checking my phone every so often throughout the day .
