I remember when bmw poked fun at audi for awd. now the M5 and next gen M3 are awd lol.

I don't think it's the dumbest. It's actually a really nice driving hybrid with revolutionary design that's not supercar material, but still quick and sharp handling. It's shortcomings is not keeping up with the times in electric range and performance.

On the other hand, this would have been an epic way to unveil the M8.

I agree, the i8 will probably have a very timeless design, as there is really nothing in the market with a concept car like design like it (maybe NSX). I only wished they made the powertrain more powerful.
