Im pretty sure the owner wanted 500 hp or else he wouldn't have spent that much money on a V10 lol.

I think most people are missing that that final shot is not the finished product. That is definetely not the fire breathing V10 from the M5/M6...
I wish they had started with with a beat up e30 M3. I love the project, but its sad they destroyed a perfectly good looking M3 to start it

+1 Take a look at the article. The car isn't done yet. The OP's "after" shots are actually the "before" photos. The last shot, chronologically, is the one where the shell of the refab-ed car is covered in primer.

+1 there's so few of them I would have rather them restored it back to stock and put the V10 in a 318 or something....
