So I guess current BMWs are less annoying and buyers are finding less and less things to complain about, whether it's iDrive (still the best by a mile in my book) or overall quality. That's a win in my book.

Just curious why this is being posted as news now? The press release said this data came out on February 12, 2020. I think it's IQS that came out from JD Power this week.

The survey, released Wednesday, comes on the heels of widespread complaints about quality in the company's new Model Y, a hatchback version of the Model 3 sedan. Those complaints include unaligned body parts, seats not attached to the base, bumpers falling off in the rain, water leaks in the cabin, and door seals that allow dirt particles to get inside and coat the interior.

Also on Wednesday, Business Insider, quoting internal Tesla emails, revealed that Tesla may have knowingly installed defective cooling tubes prone to leakage in Model S sedans. The issue involves model years 2012 through at least 2016. The story noted that glycol coolant that comes into contact with a hot battery can result in fire. The Times has also reviewed internal Tesla emails that show Tesla employees discussing the tube leakage problem.

These numbers do not make sens for Genesis, Buick and Porsche because they don't sell a lot of cars, it's almost a niche market! Toyota and VW are the number one in the world in terms of sales and they well known for their reliability. BMW sell a lot more cars than Porsche, Buick and Genesis combined...They should weight their stats with a ratio of the total number of cars sold by each brand to make this chart reliable

It's almost as if they should take a small subsets of cars, let's say 100, and find the average problems from each of those subsets

Had a similar debate over tires with a buddy of mine.

I claimed DWS 06 best based on score and volume of miles and sales.

High performance all season

Agreed. VW ruined my German car experience. I vowed never to buy another German car again. Went Japanese the next remaining vehicles then rolled the dice on the F80. Lol

BMW F series have been surprisingly more reliable than their E series before them.

I'm honestly shocked Subaru and Honda are that far down.. These are the best in reliability IMO and VW is that high up? Lol something's up

Some of the new Genesis actually do the sport part well too. I was impressed last time I drove the G70 3.3TT with how good the handling was. Like Car and Driver said its 90% of the 3-Series for 75% of the price. A very good car for those who owned earlier Lexus IS or Infiniti G's since both brands have yet to make a compelling sports sedan recently. Ever since Albert Biernmann (ex-head of M division) joined the Hyundai group, there products have been very good.
That maybe it but forget about carrying anyone in the back seat of the G70, unless they have no legs.

^ We almost pulled the trigger on the 3.3 T Sport. Pretty solid car actually. Suspension felt darn good and acceleration was nice. BUT we got the Palisade Limited! Seats are supreme! Softer and more comfy than any other 5 series we had. Impressed so but the only gripe for me is Wind noise and suspension isn't quite up to par. Kinda loud and not nearly as substantial a bmw or range rover naturally. The creature features are endless with tons of tech. Best value by far!
Hope it remains troublefree.

It's KIA counterpart has logged a lot of complaints however...
