Last night I was reading a Dutch article regarding the '20 F1 telemetry :
Red Bull and Honda-Japan noticed that the Mercs Party-Mode is more powerful than they were thinking ...

According the telemetry the Mercs Party-Mode is pushing "160+ HP" more than the RB16 !
That's why they can run with a 13 km/h higher top-speed . In qualifying the RB16 makes actually no chance at all , by the power they are coming faster out the corners ...
Regarding the DAS advantage we already know ...

Red Bull noticed also that Mercs are running lighter :
The Mercs engine consumes less of fuel . This means the Merc can run lighter with less of fuel in the fuel tank .

The current situation sounds not good my friend....

i guess Red Bull is having some aero problems or areas needs to be smoothed out as well.. considering snappy rear end but for the power difference only Japanese friends can help Red Bull thats another thing..

That's correct my friend , the Mercs are running with 160HP more in the Party-Mode .
I'm afraid the Mercs are untouchable for the rest of the season ....

Maybe the land of the *Rising Sun* can stump up a gem like they did for SENNA then. After all Merc STORED their unused engine tunes, why not HONDA.

Mate .They have no choise , they have to run with the rear wing lowered (too low) to get a higher top-speed .
It's actually a compensation to get a higher top-speed , but even that seems not enough ...
The downside of that is a snappy rear end , and that can really go wrong in no time...
That's why MAX had less of traction in the rain ...

The RB16 needs more power from Japan ASAP !

In Japan they can do it in no time . As you know it's the Turbo era . To get more boost and power is no problem . They real issue with the Turbo engines is the cooling and reliability .
If the HONDA today would run with the similar Mercs power , the HONDA would blown in a few laps .

The Vettel->RP is gaining more momentum and now ESPN Mexico is reporting that Checo's agent has been in contact with Haas and Alfa for 2 weeks. Maybe Vettel will get his Merc (albeit pink) after all
