Just don't run it. I've lived in CA and TX, never run a front plate. Aside from parking tickets in downtown LA, never had to pay a fine, and those were pretty cheap. Really only a problem if you drink and drive.

He's not worried about the plate, he's talking about the stupid flat spot on the bumper that looks super out of place with no plate

What's the deal with all those fake vents, scoops and mouldings ? I hate those with a passion, they already ruined a perfectly decent car: Toyota Supra, didn't Subaru learn their lesson from that fiasco ?

When’s the Toyota version being released? I’m not a fan of the exterior compared to previous gen.

Ironic that you're complaining about fake air vents when BMW is exclusively using fake air vents on all their new cars including their EVs that don't even have engines!

im a former owner as well. i think it looks really good. they dropped the ball on the interior though. its more of the same.
i liked mine. total hoot to drive. there were definitely times i grabbed its keys over my GTR. Problem was as a daily driver, especially if your commute is mostly highway, it sucks. not much power. wind noise. things rattle. stereo blows. if you upgrade the stereo, things rattle more, gearing is too short.

I think we have to appreciate them still making cars with normal aspiration and manual. 2800lbs with 228 hP and 184 torque (which comes low in the rev range) is enough to make the car feel quick. my 1994 mx6 weighed 2600 lbs and had a 2.5 v6 with 164 hp and 157 ft lbs of torque and it felt properly quick. Great affordable enthusiast option.
If I ever find the r8 v10 6mt I am looking for, this or the toyota twin (which actually does look a little better I think) would be in the running for a daily to replace the M2C |

Very nice to see that cars like this are still being made so definitely happy to see that they gave it a nice refresh that didn't really mess up anything. If this car was available back when I bought an Integra, I would have gotten this over it no question.
Overall it's a pretty good refresh - again for what it is. If I were to complain about anything it would be the instrument cluster. If they were gonna go full digital, it should have been something that didn't look already dated. Honestly I would have preferred they put analog gauges in there. |

I had a 2013 for 5 years and loved every minute of it. Moved onto a 335is and love that too but it has nowhere near the same feeling behind the wheel. Looking to get back into a BRZ and this looks nice, however I'm not sold on the interior. That tacked on display and digital gauge just doesn't do it for me. Going to wait to see what Toyota has to offer in a couple of months and then make up my mind.

Exterior looks like a mid-cycle refresh, not a new car. Did the door skins change at all? Can't really say it looks more modern than the original one does today. Digital cluster gives useful info but doesn't really look good, with any luck there will be ways to update the look electronically. |

I'm not worried about the turbo, if they're making a drop top, I'm all in.
