For almost all PDAs, data plan is $30.00 a month. I think that's a lot, considering for that same amount, you get a lot of talk minutes. If it was 5-$15, I would consider it but at this point TXT, MMS, AUDIO, VIDEO SEND AND RECEIVE has to do.

I've been with them since 2001. Our plan's cost is $100, but we get 20% off because of my dad's work so it's a bit cheaper.

I've used the pay as you go for the data plan. Sometimes I'm in need of address in the middle of nowhere and I need internet I use it. But I don't use the data plan as a luxury thing. Specially being a college student if I have the data plan, I might as well stop going to classes because all be all over Forums and shiet on it lol

My Dad's 20%, and I can get the 20% from my work, but since we used his we just use that. Depends on what detail your company has worked out with them.

I'm just messin with you...but seriously are the cameras the same? Same processors? Any features exclusive to one phone? I see you mentioned WiFi. That's a big concern for me.

Yep, and with ATT you get the roll over which is sick and the unlimited data plan. Granted, they don't have the coverage but boy they throw you a lot of toys to keep you happy for the dropped calls you'll get. Also if you are in a covered area, MID-ATLANTIC and go with ATT it's super win win. Verizon really milks you for the great phone coverage they provide, no cool phones, high fees etc...

But get the Data Plan from Verizon, play with it and when you are bored with it cancel it. I know you've been waiting for this phone and quite frankly these phones without the data plan aren't much fun. But make sure, you aren't locked into any Data plan or anything for the remaining of the year. I remember with Verizon, you can always upgrade but never downgrade when you are in a contract. So make sure, you can remove the data plan after a month.
Also you can be clever, sometimes they just throw in the 1 month free data plan anyways. That's more than enough play time.

I really like the Storm, and I would pick one up in a heart beat. However, there's 3 things that's holding me back....
1) It's with Verizon 2) No WiFi 3) The size & weight Plus it's a 1st gen Blackberry touch-screen phone so we'll see what issues arise from it. |

I already have a Verizon Blackberry on that network and sure it's blazing fast (faster than AT&T's '3G' network) but still not as fast as a dedicated WiFi connection. Hell, Sprints EV-DO network is just as fast (speed tests confirmed on both phones) and the 3G iPhone POS runs like ass with full signal on the speed tests. But then again, not all of us use WiFi just to surf the web or do useless online crap that requires that type of bandwidth.... we have other things in mind . And AT&T being better than the others? LOL |
