This is awesome and will no doubt be a beast! There’s a reason s2k values have skyrocketed. People have caught onto the fact that they’re actually that good.

Guys, this wasn’t an e30 m3. He didn’t kill its value, not that I think he’s too worried about that.

LOL Only on a BMW forum would people complain about a cool project like this "killing the value of the car". I bet those same people are fun at parties….

guys when i bought the car it was abounded for 8 years thrown in the sun, the engine was not working, it had fake M-technic bumper and the soul purpose of buying it is to convert it to a track toy with light weight 4 cylinder engine.

we chose the s2k engine over the Mitsubishi evo 9 engine since it was cheaper to buy and maintain

I limit it to 8500 for longevity, but it was built for 9500.

I will never forget my 02 S2000's scream at fuel cutout of 9,250 RPM....the Comptech aftermarket exhaust creating a blood curdling shriek.

This engine (to my knowledge) still holds the normally aspirated efficacy record of HP per displacement of 120 HP per liter of 2.0 liters....the beloved S54 (US version) is 103 HP per liter of 3.2 liters.
