Thanks for sharing. I like his style. Bit of Lichtenstein in there.

BMW keeps linking itself to flashy trends, and like all flashy trends, it will fade away into irrelevance.

The thick black lines vertically ruin it for me. The same way people put chrome trim along the door edge and window edges. Just looks so dumb.
We basically have a car here with some dots and a few black lines. |

Big fan of Joshua Vides for a few years now and some of these comments are so closed minded. Art is truly in the eye of the beholder however. His whole angle is "Reality to Idea"...a reverse working order to be exact. When you think of something and create it...you sketch it out, rough draft, scrawls and imperfections all in B&W. It then goes through phases to becomes a reality...his installations, art pieces, clothing designs and the X4M are suppose to mimic the preliminary sketches that would generally be on paper, in black and white as a sketch. Stipple, un-perfect bold lines, monochromatic, etc...literally real life made back into a "sketch". Reality to Idea.
I did grab a tee from this collection of J. Vides and have a Tee from his Fendi collab in 2019 along with a JV x Fendi "California Sky" purse for my lady. I was not a huge fan of the Kith/Ronnie Fieg collection, albeit I did purchase the E30 M3 1:18 scale model car for the growing collection.

I’d never heard of Joshua Vides before in my life. But i took a few minutes to browse and i like what i see. But even if i didn’t, i think some of the critiques here are unnecessarily harsh. Trust me, i am as critical of BMW’s current direction as anyone on here, but fashion collabs and/or art cars have been part of automotive and automotive marketing history since before any of us could drive. I’ve got no problem with collabs, my problem is how the cars look and drive, and no fashion designer will have anything to do with that.
I also lol’ed at the “Boomerpost” comment |

I have no problems with "Art Cars". Andy Warhol's creations are a prime example. Not for me for but I get it. At least it's not a billboard like Kith.
