We use a rack like this one. Works well with our sink. YMMV

Wait..What? Why would you wash your hands after you wash the dishes? Did you start this thread saying you weren’t that guy or something along those lines? Me thinks you have some issues.

Btw, in my OP I said I usually don't care bout form as I'm a *ftn* kinda guy, but leaving the sponge/etc on the counter is an eyesore to me, that's all. *shrug*

Browsing on mobile so I couldn't see the preview of who started this thread, but I was pretty sure it was going to be @sedanclan .

I have to say I'm even more surprised that he hasn't chimed in with an answer yet. Must be on patrol. I hope. Otherwise he's slipping.

Dude. I’m a girl.

If your hands are dirty after washing your dishes, you’re not washing the dishes right. I’ll scrub pots and pans after cooking and my hands are clean.

Ok, dudette then.

No, I wouldn't consider washing dishes a good way to (indirectly) clean one's hands as I would be touching dirty dishes. How about not dirtying them in the first place by using gloves as intended and not creating an easily avoidable prb that shouldn't even exist from onset?

Well, one is supposed to replace them every mth or so (can't remember exact period) and in the meantime air them out. This also segues into keeping one's toilet lid CLOSED when not in use, esp when flushing or else prepare for nastiness.

Try this instead of a sponge. I find it works much better, dries quickly and never stinks. I cut each one into quarters, mostly because a full sheet is overkill (too big). They last a really long time too.

Tx for the suggestion. I'm leaning towards those silicone sponges though, they seem really neat for my purposes.

Absolutely - give it a shot. I have used them and didn't like them personally, but a lot of people do like them. I just didn't think they did as good of a job. Hell, try them both and let us know what you think!

Good idea, are they both readily available at Walmart? I don't see myself using Amazon to get them...too much effort haha.

I mentioned this at work and I had not seen this thread, lol. I have a simple suction cup holder, but my kitchen is simple and I for the most part live alone.

Maybe I'm the only quasi-OCD person here, but I always wash my hands *after* taking gloves off. I hate the feeling of powder and sweat on my hands from disposable latex gloves, and cringe to think what funk lurks inside reusable rubber gloves.....

Maybe you are haha. I get your pt though, although I just wear the reg gloves so no powder and I don't sweat on my hands, etc. That's another pt, dunno how clean one's hands are so it's double purpose for me to wear them.

I hate sponges. We use Scotch-Brite Dobie pads instead. They work great and I don't think they are unsightly like sponges or wash cloths.

Actually, I don't even know what his post meant or its pt. Kinda grumpy and not the first time.
