that letter is enough for me. I don't need to know what happened. It is just sad.

Being an economist, I have to look at the utility of the world, and if he was an asshole, I think people are somehow better off not having this guy around. I'm not a proponent of suicide though, he should have gotten some serious help instead of looking for an easy way out.

When you spend your life in a gym, and eat nothing but boiled chicken and salad, it is no surprise to me many are in a state of depression or obsessed with their appearance.

It is great to stay in shape, but many give up their lives as when they get older they realize all the time the spent in the gym and missed out on what matters.

I know some who spend 20-30 hours per week in the gym. None of them are married or have a social life.

Wow, that is extremely sad to see someone so young take their life.

I guess there is a reason I mostly lurk ******* forums, and only post in the nutrition/excercise sections.

You can get all of your lifting/cardio done in 45 mins to an hour a few times per week, which isn't too bad. Eating/preparing food actually takes a lot more time for me.

I don't feel sorry for the guy. Anyone that knows they are going to kill themselves, and tells it over a forum, should go to the police. I hate people that take their life

See my above response. I don't get that entire forum. Although I do use it for useful info, just will never sign up.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few of those assholes that told him to do it will be visited by cops. And I hope their asses get thrown in jail.

It's hard to understand if you've never been in a suicidal state of mind. I have. At that point you have very little control over your emotions and thoughts. I had a lot of suicidal thoughts starting my junior year of high school. Things got worse as time rolled on.

My last 1.5-2 years of college I slipped into a deep depression. Everyday was miserable for me. My anger was coming around everyone, but everyone just thought I was gaining confidence. I put on a "happy" face for everyone to not let the demons inside me known. Thankfully I had two girl friends that I reached out to and they spent numerous hours talking to me daily.

If it weren't for them, and realizing the devastation I would have caused my parents I wouldn't have been here today. It took another 2 years following college graduation to step above my lowest point.

I'm probably happier now than I have been since I was a little kid. I still have depressed days, but that's normal. It's impossible to explain what it's like to be that low in life, when everyone around you think you have a great life and you can't see it. It's sad to think about what I've put myself through, but in the end it's made me better, stronger person. I still have demons that bother me, but I fight them off because I know I'm better than that.

lol. It's not the food that makes those guys crazy, it's the determination to seek perfect that doesn't exist.

They gym is a big part of what helped take me to a happier state of mind.

30 minutes is minimum. 45-50 minutes is considered optimum. A lot things I've read say after 50 minutes it's basically the law of diminishing returns.

That's not to say 1.5 hours is bad and you won't see any gains/losses from it though. My average workout is 45-1hr 15 minutes.

i was joking. crimson commented on the guy spending around 50 hours a week being too much (which obviously is), and he said he spent like 20-40 mins...without saying daily so ya...it was a joke that flopped.
