Sad day for M cars.
I've ran track days in the rain and the OEM blades are just fine.

But you do not drive 120 in the rain based on your wise crack.

So the OEM wipers are good enough for you at the speeds you drive.

Damn dude, feel free to just say that next time like the other guys did.

Jeeez.....

Blue, try some Angelwax H2go, or Gtechniq G5(wax) or G1(more involved). This should help with the beading.

Thank you.

I've had my windshield ceramic coated. Then I stripped it and recoated it last year. On top of that, I think my wiper blades might apply a special layer too. Maybe it just needs to be treated more often.

But I'll check those out either way.

I dont drive 120+ in the rain on the streets.

The track is a different story.

a) So you assumed I was talking about the street and not operating under controlled conditions. Not that I owe you an explanation, but did you ever ask or did you simply make a knee-jerk judgmental comment about it?

b) You judge based on your own personal bias. So whether it was the street or not, doesn't matter. Do you drive within the speed limit wherever you go? You obey every single traffic law every time you drive? Even if you do, good for you. And it doesn't matter. You do you and other people will do them.

Offering your opinion is fine. But your arrogant condescending higher than thou attitude struck a chord with me. We're all adults here with different minds and different opinions and wants and needs. There is no need to be an asshat to someone else who thinks or does differently than you.

Maybe instead of giving people shit when they ask a legitimate question, offer up knowledge and advice and support and curiosity and be cool about it, or just move on.

And if you're one of those people who block the passing lane because you're going "fast enough" in your superior car, because that's the vibe I'm getting from you, get the hell out of the way!

You yourself implied you were driving at 120+ in the rain on surface streets and slower cars should get out of the left lane.

Where do you get all these assumptions? According to you I block the fast lane, drive under the speed limit, im a condescending asshole in my "superior car", dont drive my M car correctly. Ha. You're being ridiculous.

Maybe you should take a step back and realize driving 120 in the rain isn't the smartest idea and me pointing that out is what 99% of rational people would do. I guess you could argue your point but you would just be digging a bigger hole

Two separate posts dude.

I see your comments. You're a nosy neighbor. A wise ass. That's fine to a point but then it becomes arrogance. Doesn't seem reasonable for someone to sum you up and judge you? Go figure...

Ridiculous is having a grown adult make childish comments on a post where I'm asking a simple honest question.

I've already spent a lot of time trying to get you to see that I don't appreciate you chiming in like you do. I even sent you a PM but you would rather do it here.

To sum it up it up, if you have nothing positive to say, maybe say nothing at all.

P.S. 99% of "rational people" don't own M cars either. Take your judgments somewhere else and be a clown on someone else's posts will ya...

Ah, if you have good ceramics, then these probably wont do a thing. The G1 is a ceramic style.

It's been my personal experience to either have really good wiper blades (OEM) *or* get your windshield treated to where you don't really need to used blades.

But don't use both. Having a treated windshield *and* using blades and you'll end with a lot of clattering.

Hmmm I wonder if that's what happened. Ceramic coating + Bosch Icon was what I had been running.

Thank you

You can use any polish you have lying around for this. That's all it is.

Yes. BMW just released special BMW branded blades at 300 a pop with a new aero design to push water away better and reduce wear on the motor and arms.

Imagine somebody wants better wiper blades? Go figure...

Expensive for such a wearable item though! Jeez, at those prices I'll stick with the Bosch/PIAA options.

Thank you for that information.

For anyone interested, the PIAA Aero Vogue is officially the more high performance option at 120, beating out the Bosch Icon. I imagine the metal frame is the critical/more effective component keeping the blades stuck to the windshield at speed.
