Having owned a Nissan and an Infiniti, you get what you pay for with Nissan. Both in a good and bad sense. I would not hesitate to get the Supra over the Z if one can afford it.

Yeah my Lexus IS was painfully slow, but as a result I was constantly wringing it out and driving at the limits without even going at dangerous speeds for the conditions.

Most modern cars have such superb NVH and are so technically capable that they need to be driven at go-to-jail speeds for the driver to even feel anything.

I think low 4s from 0-60 is more than quick enough. And on tight curvy back roads, HP and acceleration don't matter as much as lightness, handling, and steering feedback.

Ya, I'm a pragmatist too, and can't stand (+the fear of) getting speeding tickets, it's a real PITA. I don't track, so that's why for me, it would be Miata Is Always The Answer.

Yes on the 997 and well spotted on the Saab. Had it 11 years, still only 83K miles. Getting a bit beaten up now as it has always lived outside, little things like aircon and exhaust failing....... starting to rack up repair bills but so long as it's still well less than a new lease, even a Nissan Kicks is $350 a month, makes no sense to ditch it.

The 997 colour shifts from almost aqua on a bright day to the purple blue you see there on a heavy cloudy day. Car has 40K miles, has rock chips etc, not a garage queen but I didn't pay for one wither. I may need to get the hood resprayed one day, a lot of small chips. Has my first whoopsie moment today through a fast corner, could feel the engine trying to move itself tot he front of the car, it was not a big moment but i felt it squirm. Tyres are hard, need replacing too.

Oddly enough, looking at your Giulia, I used to own a Giulia too as a young, single man.

My dad had a Saab 9-5 from that era and I always found the 9-3 to be the better looking of the two. Always had a soft spot for Saab.

Oh yeah the 9-5's look a bit weird with the dame edna front end, but they hold a lot of shit and eat miles.

The car has been pretty good to me but the last 3 to 5 years, the rapairs are starting to tally. Still cheaper than a bog basic new car but more than i want to spend.

Because even my grandma can drive that thing pretty quickly around a track

But an ND Miata with a pro driving it will still not be faster than the current Camaro SS with an amateur driving it
That scenario is 10% driver and 90% car
