I was in Mar Vista around 11am on Friday. Think I remember some commotion going on. Crazy to think this may have happened right around the corner from where I was.

HOLY ****, that is one of the worst crashes I have ever seen!! That just shows you no matter how attentive you are while driving and how well you obey all laws, some complete maniac can just wipe you out in a second. There was no way for that to be avoided by those poor souls. They damn near took that carnage into a gas station as well. Just awful!

Concerning Anne, I wouldn't wish bad burns on anyone. They're absolutely horrific. Hopefully she'll get the help she needs and lead a productive life.

Yeah... The accusations of abuse by a parent that can't defend themselves. How many times have we heard this?

Could be true, but, IMHO, too convenient an excuse for bad behavior.

Goes to show how successful she has been if 22 years after the break up, people only know her as having been with Ellen DeGeneres.

Heche doesn't deserve any sympathy in my book, I hope they throw the book at her when she recovers whatever she claims her mental state was or what her previous life involved.
It was 50/50 whether she would kill someone going at that speed with suspected DUI.

I read she probably won’t get much time as no one was injured. I should have posted the link. They said maybe 6 months. They couldn’t test for BAC because of her condition. I get they couldn’t do a breathalyzer but they could draw blood.

But at this point, booze would be out of her system. Unless they drew blood for other reasons at time of incident that can now be tested for alcohol.

I just read that she has now slipped into a coma from her injuries and is fighting for her life. She also has burns that will require extensive surgery.

I feel for her from the standpoint of her injuries. Like I said, crashing and burning is terrible but …. At least no one else suffered Physical injuries

It's pretty much around a couple of corners from where my daughter and son-in-law live in Mar Vista, too. Scary!

Besides the horrific crash, look at the actions after. Ford Fusion on the right just backs up and continues on...traffic seems to resume as normal after despite fire raging. Sign of the times I guess.
