Think it's 5 to 7 so far, with DST in the lead.

If I counted right.

Edit: add Dino's rep point(s). lol

I forgot about all the other rep points.

Maybe the OP should've done a poll?

I think a lot depends on where in a time zone you live. We live on the far eastern side of central time. Even at the summer solstice, sunset is around 8:30. But 30 minutes to our east in Terre Haute, they have an hour of sunlight left at 8:30PM on that day. They can still see a good bit of light in the sky at 10PM. I can see where that might bug people. But I hate that it gets dark here at 4:30PM in the winter. So I'd prefer full time DST. As long as we have folks living on the extremes of time zones, you'll have disagreements. You'll never make everyone happy or even a majority. So I think we'll probably just keep talking about it every year and dealing with it as it is.

That said, the changing back and forth has never been that big of a deal with me. Just something I've always accepted and dealt with.

I said earlier in this thread I prefer standard time but honestly it doesn't make that much difference to me.

This is the first year I actually got used to DST. Then it changes, lol.

I think I'd like it to stay the same all year long. Standard time, if I had my choice. It's not up to me, though, or any of us here, so it seems.

A permanent change to DST = shifting time zones, which is arbitrary and pretty ridiculous. The hours of sunlight per day change throughout the year naturally and there is nothing anyone can do about that. DST doesn’t change the number of hours of sunlight per day.

Just stick to standard time or leave the 2x/year time changes in place if politicians can’t agree on sticking with standard time.

I usually get up at around 6am. Of course my biological clock had me up at 6am yesterday, but it was 5am
I fell asleep on the couch after dinner, woke up at 9:20pm, went to bed around 10pm, good luck falling back asleep
Back up at 5am this morning, this time change is great

I was DONE with working in the yard, putting all my tools away, sun seemed to be setting. Went to take off my boots and in was 15:10 W T F!! Strap back up and start pushing the fertilizer spreader, I'm sure my wife isn't going to feed me dinner yet.

One hour is not gonna kill anyone either way, it's just a waste of time, literally haha. Such a PITA.

Did OP say he had to change 18 devices? Anyone got that beat? Lemme see, dvd player, 4 thermostats, oven, microwave, wall clock, watch, car, so 'just' 10 for me.

I hate driving home to 5pm traffic in the dark. People get stupid. All of this is stupid. I'd much rather have more dark at night than in the morning.

Well, let's see. 5 antique clocks, 1 grandfather clock, 1 regular wall clock, 1 bedroom clock, 3 on appliances, 8 watches (they will all get changed eventually), 1 led garage clock, 4 cars. Okay, 25 unless I forgot something. 🙄

Oh yea, wife's watches. 3 as I recall.
