We are picking up our Portimao Blue Shadowline next week… The PPF appointment delayed delivery, but we should have it soon… My wife is looking forward to her new ride…

Yes we like the diesel model it has more torque at low revs which is useful where we live in the hilly west country of the UK not sluggish like the petrol model we test drove Diesel price in the UK is about 20p a litre dearer than petrol but with a near 60mpg it soon makes up for it.

I love the colour, portimao blue is one of my favourites, and it's great to hear you're happy with it. Keep us updated as you get to drive it more. The romance with mine continues.

I went out for a drive in mine last night just to try out the adaptive headlights. It's a shame they don't steer like my 19 plate X3 M40i did, but they definitely seem to react much quicker. I would've sworn I had full beam on but I wasn't flashed once so they were doing their job perfectly.

I was tempted with a diesel as I found one in the exact spec I wanted, but my journeys would definitely not be good for it. I do a short 7 mile journey 6 times a week so wouldn't be doing the dpf any favours.

We only cover fairly short journeys but hopefully it’s as good as our last x1 20d we had no problem with the dpf and always done the regen no problem.as for the adaptive headlights these are good but not as good as our 1 series125d with turning cornering lights . I will keep you updated on the progress as there is a lot to get used to with this model,it makes are old 20d quite dated in the technology front.

Quick update on the new car it drives absolutely great seats are comfortable adaptive headlights are great not sure about the auto steering going over white lines and cornering it’s something to get used to I suppose . Voice activation is great just tell “she” what you want and so far she does what you asked for.
Having phone set up for key is useful dealer said 2 phones could not be setup but o yes you can assuming you have an iPhone
Heads up is so much better than the previous model haven’t tried sat nav yet something to look forward to.

The current forecast says we should be able to collect ours from Sandal Huddersfield sometime in Week 51. It is currently at Bremerhaven waiting for a ferry.

Can buyers in Britain or the EU pick up the vehicle from the factory in Regensberg? (test its claimed 230km/h top speed legally, before heading home)

Thought you might like to see how different storm bay can look in different lighting. Same car (obviously ), same angle (mostly), 2 days apart.

Will be interesting to compare the performance to my G20 330e!

Would love to see some daylight photos from other angles

Not in the UK. Customers in continental Europe used to be able to collect from Munich.
