I had though they were diamond cut and I would rather not have diamond cut and see the advantage of plastic from a kerbing and corrosion point of view but to me the wheels look unfinished without the trims so will keep them on. They also make the wheels look bigger. The downside is that they do seem to come off as I have seen a couple of cars with one missing which I put down to kerbing and I wonder what the cost is to replace as there is a used one on ebay at £85.00 at the moment. |

Is it safe to assume that they are also just full plastic wheel covers? |

I get to enter Disney parks in Florida for free, as long my friend's daughter continues to work there. She's retiring in 4 or 5 years, so I'll probably go down there more often in the mean time. |

I did not realize the standard 18” wheels had HUB CAPS until the 1st time I washed my 2024 X1 28i. I would have preferred 100% wheels & if the sales advisor told me they had hub caps I would have gone with another 18” design. {The last time I had a car with hubcaps was my 1967 Olds Cutlass}
I heard some say while driving with the standard 18”wheels they hit a pothole & the cap came off & had to be replaced at a cost about $50. Fortunately I’ve not lost one yet. 🤞🤞🤞🤞 I’ve seen photos of the wheels without the hubcaps & they look cool. So if I lost a cap I just might remove the others & make lemonade out of lemons 🍋 🍋 . |

I “lost” one, replaced it, then the replacement disappeared while driving so just took the damn things off. Next time I take my car in for service I’m going to complain about it.
Removing them is easy, just pull them off. Or simply go for a drive . If you do choose to take them off, do so just before washing your car as the wheels are going to need a deep clean. |
